The night was cold, and the alley behind the old building where you lived was shrouded in darkness. The flickering lights of a nearby lamppost dimly illuminated your face as you leaned against the brick wall. An unlit cigarette trembled in your hand. You stared at it as if it were a memory you couldn't let go of.

You started smoking to get closer to someone you should never have loved. Your ex-boyfriend had been your world until that world became unbearable.

When you lit the cigarette, the lighter went out halfway through, frustrating you even more. You were so absorbed in your own inner turmoil that you didn't notice the footsteps approaching from around the corner of the alley.

"Do you need help with that?" said a male voice, calm but confident.

You looked up, surprised, to find yourself staring into Shoto's eyes, a young man who seemed out of place in that forgotten corner of the city. He wore an expensive, perfectly tailored coat and held a silver lighter in his hand.

"Shoto... what are you doing here?" you asked.

"I wanted to see you." His tone was direct, almost disarming.

Before you could answer, Shoto took another step closer, lifted the lighter, and with a click, lit the flame.

"May I?" he asked gently.

You hesitated, but finally nodded, allowing him to light the cigarette. The first puff of smoke escaped your lips. As you raised the cigarette for a second drag, Shoto did something that took your breath away.

With a swift but smooth movement, he took the cigar from your fingers. Before you could protest, he brought it to his own lips, inhaling deeply. As he exhaled the smoke, his words cut through the air.

"If you're going to smoke for him, I'd rather you didn't."

You blinked, surprised. "What...?"

"He's not worth it." Her voice was low, but firm, like an irrefutable statement. "Instead... use me."

Shoto smiled gently. "Use me. As you wish. To forget him, to remind yourself that you deserve better."
