Alice Asmodeus

An Evil Cycle (悪アク周シュウ期キ Akushūki?, or a Wicked Phase) is a terminology describing a demon (or, in some instances, a person) when their stress reaches a critical point.

Demons have a tendency to commit acts of violence and sadism when their stress level reaches its limit. This loss of reason reduces their inhibitions and limits, allowing them to use their abilities more.

In some cases, some demons succumb to their evil cycles, returning them to their demon origins. This is dangerous because the demons are now full of malice and the desire to commit evil acts against one another.

Evil cycles greatly enhance the user's magical prowess, though their sense of reason drops, and it burns their mana quickly. If the user has trained enough for it, they can trigger an evil cycle at any time without being stressed. Evil cycles are commonly associated with a Return to the Origin, where the affected person acts as wild and destructive as a primordial demon.

Evil cycles can be intentionally toggled using specially-made drugs and antidotes, generally to train someone to activate them without the drugs.

While there are methods to bring someone out of an evil cycle, prevention tends to be easier than stopping it. The Demon World is full of various leisure activities such as playing video games, participating in sports, and watching akudol concerts. These allow demons to release their stress and return to normal.

Alternatively, extensive conditioning allows one to have a safe word, a specific word or phrase that, when spoken, allows the demon to immediately break themselves out of the evil cycle. While effective, this method relies on having a partner who knows the safe word and can use it at the right time, particularly when using the evil cycle for combat.

Initially, they were given a classroom in bad condition, in an underground cave, isolated from the rest of the floors of the First-Year Tower. Its location is ruthless as it's on the way to a garbage dump on the opposite side of the same classroom floor. The image of the class is degraded as the other classes dump garbage in their space instead of putting it straight to the disposal area, as well as making graffiti and marks on their classroom walls and on the walls of the stairs leading down to it, as a method of stress relief.

Because of the deplorable condition of their classroom, Iruma and the class decided to acquire a new one, the prestigious Royal One, which had closed at the end of the student days of Demon King Derkila. Under the difficult strain of the proposal that they obtained from Naberius Kalego, with a transfer approval to get in less than two weeks, all of the class students worked hard to get support and acceptance of the proposal, and with the help of every single faculty members at Babyls, including the Student Council (through Ameri), they've managed to get the classroom.

Then, the rest of the students at Babyls started to recognize Iruma as the leader of the Abnormal Class for all his triumphs. Especially for how he led his classmates during the Royal One takeover amidst his Wicked Phase. After the events at Walter Park, their winning of the Music Festival, and the public acknowledgment of "The Pixie," Purson Soi, as their thirteenth member, the class gained the nickname of "Thirteen Crowns of Babyls."

The students were branded as abnormal because of their eccentric behaviors and personalities. Some were committed because of fights, assaults, harassment, and thefts that were committed since the entrance ceremony. However, the class also counts some of the best students of Babyls, like Asmodeus Alice and Allocer Schneider. There are 13 students in the classroom, with Naberius Kalego as their homeroom teacher.

Initially, the group was considered dangerous, and almost all student body was cautious when interacting with them. But with several developments surrounding and occurring in their class, the treatment for the Abnormal Class had become increasingly well as the perception and popularity of the changes from "a class of weirdos" to "a class of amazing weirdos" exceptionally well when they got into. They also acquired the Royal One classroom and defeated the three monsters that assaulted and tried to destroy Walter Park when they visited there.

The classmates of the Abnormal Class started to grow increasingly closer with one another, probably more than in any other class, using the human concept of "friendship" to describe their relationship with each other.

Babyls Demon School (悪魔学校バビルス Devil School Babyls) is a prestigious school in the demon world run by the principal, Lord Sullivan.

The renowned academy has been teaching students of both lower and higher status of demon families, facilitating their predestination by increasing, or to an extent, decreasing their demon ranks as they stay in the school.

In the demon realm, where humans are considered little more than a myth (and a food source in their school hymn), the entire student cohort (excluding Iruma) and the teachers are demons.

Babyls is located at the top of the enormous cliff, whose surroundings greatly resemble uncanny mountains. There are a lot of towers inside the academy, and several spiky-like buildings are all over the place. There are also fences surrounding it, but the school's exterior walls are high enough to be regarded as a partition from the outside. Babyls can be reached either by an aerial route (by demons flying) or simply by walking and entering through a large gate in the center, probably the only entrance to the school.

Student Count A total number of 666 students are currently enrolled in the school, spread out through 6 grades. Iruma's batch (the first-year students at the start of the series) consisted of 163 students divided into groups A, B, C, D, E and the Abnormal Class.

Gorgon Snake: Alice's familiar is a Gorgon Snake named Vino. It is macaroon-cream-colored with purple details on its edges. It is also a winged creature (which has claws on the tip of each side of its wings) that has a pair of massive-sized horns on its head, red scaling eyes, and two sharp pointed fangs. A raging fire burns at the tip of this familiar's big tail. It also can masterfully breathe fire.

Asmodeus is proficient at drawing pictures of Iruma but is terrible at drawing anything else.

He sometimes takes pictures of Iruma and Clara when they aren't looking.

Asmodeus dislikes someone not close to him who calls him by his first name, Alice. So that's why he is referred to as Asmodeus or Azz (to those close to him). Only his mother, butler, cousins, and Iruma in his "evil cycle" can call him by his first name.

Fire Magic: Alice is capable of wielding fire magic extraordinarily and effectively. In addition, he can use it both offensively, through fireballs or a sword made out of the flame, or defensively being able to create walls of fire. He also obtained the ability to create blue flames, which are assumed to be stronger than his normal flames.

Razor — Flame: A large torrent of spiraling fire that possesses enormous amounts of force behind, strong enough to punch the head of a dragon and take out its breath.

El Blast: An attack that creates a powerful explosion.

Flame Wall (Rapid Flame Shield): A defensive technique that creates a large wall of fire to use not only as protection but also to hide Alice's presence so he can move without being detected.

Blue Flames: Asmodeus's recent new fire magic that absorbs and consumes other flames, increasing his magic. He uses this during the Heartbreaker arc, beyond the teacher, Ifrit Djinn Eito's firepower.

Hell's Inferno: A powerful physical blow that possesses the might of Amaryllis blue flames. Enhanced Winged Flight: Not only is Alice capable of flight from his wings, but he can also use them competently and faster than normal flying circumstances, without even gaining a single bead of sweat.

Enhanced Strength: Alice is proficient in his strength. Despite his lean appearance, he can effectively block offensive attacks and catch large objects, such as a vending machine, by only using one arm and throwing them at ease.

Wicked Phase: Since training with Balam, he has learned to enter his Wicked Phase at will to draw out his maximum power. However, this also leads him to gain a rather sadistic personality.

Alice Asmodeus. He is a student in the Abnormal Class at Babyls Demon School as well as a friend of Iruma Suzuki, to whom he is a loyal self-proclaimed servant. While not much is known about Alice before the events of the main storyline, he is said to have been a highly talented demon since childhood. Because of his advanced skills in magic and his noble lineage as a member of the prestigious Asmodeus family, Alice was noted to have unfortunately been subject to other demons keeping their distance from him since he appeared more skilled and advanced than them. During the entrance ceremony at the start of the school year, Alice is revealed to be the top student of the first-year class with the highest entrance marks. Initially, Alice was egotistical and somewhat hotheaded. To most others, Alice appears cold and blunt and does not often appear friendly to others. He takes great pride in his abilities, fire magic, and studies. The Asmodeus family butler, David, said that Alice had been unapproachable since childhood due to his intelligence and high use of magic and only recently changed to a much happier version thanks to interacting with Iruma. Since being defeated by Iruma, Alice has shed his arrogant and self-centered attitude, but still appears competitive with specific demons, such as Sabnock Sabro.

Toward Iruma, Alice is incredibly kind and loyal. He often helps Iruma better understand the ways of the netherworld and of the school. Since proclaiming himself as Iruma's servant, Alice often does what he can to make sure Iruma is cared for and happy. While he acknowledges that Iruma is still naïve about certain aspects of the netherworld, he dramatically admires Iruma's kind and generous nature. As such, Alice is very protective of Iruma and often becomes angered when he believes others are insulting or bothering Iruma.
