Hoshinomiya Chie

Chie is a young adult woman of average height with chest-length light-brown hair that is curled at the bottom with bangs hanging on the right side, purple eyes and a slim but well-endowed body.

Chie is a friendly class teacher who also likes drinking as she often appears in school with a hangover. In spite of her quirks, she appears to be insightful as she recognized the potential of students from class 1-D who could advance such as Kiyotaka Ayanokōji, who she never met (anime only), may present a problem for her class based on what Ichinose told her about him. She has an eye for talent as she has been keeping a close eye on Kiyotaka and know that he is hiding his true capabilities. She is also not afraid of saying her discontent openly and complained that her class situation and their leader is failing the expected standard and admits that they aren’t capable of reaching Class A.

she has a flirty personality like being the type of woman who breaks up when the relationship gets too deep. This disposition is more highlighted when she tried to flirt and tease Kiyotaka Ayanokōji by telling him that she would have fallen for him if he had been in her class.

She has a realistic outlook on life and isn’t afraid to voice out her discontent to others. She expresses her disappointment and dissatisfaction with the state of her class and admitted to the other teachers that she has no hope in them to reach Class-A. Thus, she said she has given up but made it clear to Sae that she won’t allow her class to reach Class-A as well, due to her personal vendetta she held since they were in school, much to the latter's annoyance.

in Class 1-B, she is suffering from a hangover and is told by Chihiro Shiranami on how she reeks of booze. She struggles to tell the students the scores of a recent quiz and once they are given out. She runs out of the class to puke after telling them that they will receive their points. In few weeks later, she is getting a massage with Honami Ichinose and behaves rather oddly. She calmed down and they discussed students of each class they should watch out for. When Chie mentioned someone was missing from the list and its someone Honami previously informed her of. Honami thought she was suggesting Kiyotaka Ayanokōji, as she confirmed that something seems to be odd about him. In few weeks later, it is revealed that Chie had intentionally put Honami in the Rabbit group, instead of the customary Dragon group, which is for class representatives like her, in order to investigate Kiyotaka and keep an eye on him. Later, in February, Chie is shown to flirt with Kiyotaka by running up to him and holding his hand one morning, and exclaiming that the environment of the school was relationship-friendly, since the dorms were singly occupied, causing students to be less apprehensive about meeting in secret, and said that an inter-class relationship would be very dramatic, which she liked, however she stops talking after Sae finds them. In also few weeks later, she points out how Ayanokōuji Kiyotaka had been hiding his abilities and says that she doesn't dislike students like him but would end up hating him the most if he were to be her enemy. She confronts him by enumerating his feats such as, being able to solve the tenth question during the flash mental arithmetic which stumped even the teachers, being able to fight on equal footing with Arisu Sakayanagi of Class 1-A, solving the hardest questions in the written test and running extremely fast. She questioned if he’s hiding his true abilities but decided to leave the matter alone for the moment. She flirtatiously said he could cry on her chest, if he felt depress from his lost against Arisu but was ignored. In one years and few weeks later, she stops Ayanokōuji Kiyotaka at a task site and interrogates him about his math score and asks him if he was willing transfer to her class via the use of 20 Million Private Points and said that he would be exceptionally valuable. She was also disenchanted and dissatisfied at the state of her class whom she thought were capable enough to reach Class A. She openly shared her discontent about it but was sadden when Kiyotaka acted indifferent to her words and told her that it was her job to advance her class. She also revealed that it was the first time the class she undertook became Class C and lately been despondent due to it.

The name Chie consists of kanjis that mean "knowledge" (知) (chi) and "favor, benefit" (恵) (e).

Chie's surname Hoshinomiya consists of kanjis that mean "star" (星) (hoshi), "this" (之) (no) and "temple, shrine, palace" (宮) (miya).

She is not only known as a notable homeroom teacher of B-Class, she's also known to have a friendly and easygoing personality, thus, she is acquainted and well liked by many people of all ages, at least on the surface.

Sae Chabashira: Chie claimed that she and Sae are friends back when they were students at their old school. However, she may have been exaggerating as Sae denies they were ever close and even reprimands Chie for her intimate interaction and repeated flirtatious actions towards Kiyotaka. However, Chie disregards this and continues to do it, much to her annoyance. it was said that she still holds a vendetta against her for an incident that happened during their school life. She resolved herself to not allow Sae's class to reach class A after she personally gave up on her class abilities to accomplish that feat. Tomonari Mashima: Tomonari is one of her fellow teachers, they don't have any direct interaction in the anime so the exact nature of their relationship is unknown. In the light novels, Chie and Tomonari are known to be quite close and consider each other best friends. They are able to talk with the other on a personal matter, such as about each other's love interests with ease.

Honami is one of her students, they are on good terms with Chie acknowledging Honami's intellect and potential early on in the series. In return, Honami treats her with respects, and even turns a blind eye to her questionable mannerisms unbefitting for a teacher. She still considers her to be an eccentric person because of her frequent drinking and drunk habits during class but defended her from other students and came up the excuse that this is just the close chemistry to her class.

During the cruise, the two get a massage together and discuss the students of other classes they should watch out for and while Honami is put off by Chie's erratic behaviour, she seems take the advice of her teacher about watching Kiyotaka seriously as someone who could be their more dangerous foe. However, after Honami many failed leadership experiences during tests against other classes, she began to harbour doubts in her abilities to overtake class A.

She respects her in her capacity as a student and recognises that she an exceptional individual, diligent and kind but is also someone naive, inexperienced and gullible, falling short as a leader and would be the one determining factor of either their class succeeding gloriously or failing spectacularly. She also knows Honami's strong infatuation and crush on Kiyotaka and has taken many steps in trying to induct and persuade him into joining their class, believing that he is someone who will elevate Honami and allow her to be at her highest potential, as well as overtaking Class A. After Kiyotaka repeated rejection, she began to lose hope and starts to view Honami in a more distrustful light, after she repeated failed to defeat the other classes. She openly complains to the other teachers that at Honami current state, it would practically be impossible for them to reach Class A and openly admits that she has given up on them, saying that her class has never fell to C before, making this the first time under Honami's leadership. When Kiyotaka scolded her for not doing her role in helping her class, she got angry but did not deny his statement. Kiyokata Ayanokoji:it appears that Chie had suspicions about his intelligence. This was seen in a talk with Honami where she recognized him as a person from D-Class to watch out for the most. In the light novel, they had a unique type of relationship, where she was shown to tease and flirt with him despite being a teacher. Kiyotaka, however, was shown to be a little put off by her antics and eccentric natures. she got to see a bit of Ayanokoji's ability. She was surprised that he had kept it hidden until then but told him that she won't reveal it to anyone. She tells him that she doesn't dislike kids like him, but if he becomes her enemy, she will hate him the most. She praises his mathematical skills, physical abilities and looks, indicating that she has taken a strong interest in him.

Dormitories . Each of the units is a 15-storey building comprised of not less than 140 rooms that are individually divided among students. The first seven floors above the ground floor are dedicated to male students while the upper seven floors are for the female students. Boys are technically not allowed to enter the area where the girls live after 8pm. These buildings are arrayed by a pair of elevators, and possibly a section where the fire exit is positioned.

Additionally, each room in each building is designed to be as minimal as possible and is enough for a student's survival, the room is about 8 tatami mats big, thus, 13.2496 m2 in area. It is known to have its distinctive security passcode which is accessible through duplicate green cards. It is also known to be equipped with an internal telephone line system that is available all the time for all those that are residing in this area.

The dormitory is known to be near to public spheres such as the park and boulevard. For the dormstaff and head manor it's near on the mall and public sphere, with the building for staff it's have sizes of much more smaller but wider, with the 7 storey buildings who it's have only 50 rooms that's can be fills for 2-4 people. each room sizes it's varierty due some staff it's have family or lives together.

Classroom Every classroom is equipped with a whiteboard, TV-screens, lockers, and fixed 25 student tables, whereas, in the light novels, it can vary based on the number of students in-field. Surveillance cameras are also present in this area.

Cafeteria The main function of this area is to provide a standard meal to students with the exchange of private points. The meals are priced with great diversity which is directly proportional to the taste they offer. This area is also known to be under the surveillance of cameras.

Student Council Room This room is made for activities related to the Student Council's duties such as for holding a regular special meeting with leaders of successful classes for each year level and for management of local student affairs. This room has a big U-shaped table with comfy seats.It is also known to be equipped with a projector and automatic window blinders. This area is revealed to be somewhere near the school's swimming pool.

Swimming Pool BD1 Location 3 This area is one of the non-surveilled places inside the campus. It has three main sections: the main swimming pool area, the audience's seats located on the second floor, and the changing rooms. The main swimming pool area follows the race course suggested and prescribed by the Olympic Games, which is having 50 metres (164.0 ft) in length.

School Library This is an airconditioned area that is specially made for book archiving and referencing. Other kinds of student activities such as group study and meeting are also allowed in the area.

Gymnasium This multi-purpose area is where the annual opening ceremonies and club fair are being conducted.

Keyaki Mall This area is a 5-story main mall complex of Advanced Nurturing High School.

Pallet In the anime, this area is inside the Keyaki Mall. However, in the light novel, this area is located on the first floor of the school building. It is a well-known cafe among the female where they not only can buy drinks and beverages but also study and meet up for secular reasons.

SIVCAMERA This area is inside the Keyaki Mall, the main mall complex of Advanced Nurturing High School. It is an electronic store that offers various kind of services; one of which is for electronic device warranty repair.

Karaoke Clubs This area is inside the Keyaki Mall, the main mall complex of Advanced Nurturing High School. Aside from offering rooms for disco and karaoke, alcohol and exquisite beverages are also being served here. This location is often visited by Class 1-C students and some 1-D students.

Public Spheres Within the confines of Advanced Nurturing High School, most of the areas in the public sphere are under the surveillance of cameras. There's also an active group of police that regularly patrols the area.

Park This circular area is comprised of several benches on its perimeter with each of them facing the fountain at its center.

Boulevard It is a non-surveillance area composed of a pathway made of bricks, a considerable number of street lights, and an iron fence that separates the landform to the sea.

Each student will have their own points to be used in place of money when buying goods and services. There is nothing, within the realm of reason, that cannot be bought on campus using points.

Each class is assigned class points. Class points will fluctuate based on the affiliated students’ behavior and the results of certain tests. Every month, each student is assigned private points equal to their class points times 100.

Any student who fails to meet the required score on a midterm or final exam will be expelled. The threshold for expulsion is 50% of the average score of the rest of the class in any given subject.

Class A through D labels are provisional and can change based on class point assignments. The class with the current highest total class points will be named Class A, with B, C, and D, being named respectively in descending order.

Students are allowed to exchange private points among themselves. The acquisition of another students’ private points through fraud or threat will result in severe punishment, but the trading of points under any contract deemed legitimate will be left up to personal discretion.

Students can buy the right to transfer to the class of their choosing. 20,000,000 private points are required to do this.

All students must stay in on-campus housing and are forbidden to leave the campus except for certain special occasions. Additionally, contact with all outsiders is forbidden, including family and guardians.
