It's been a long time since the World War, when vampires and humans fought against each other and humans won. Damian somehow managed to survive. The rest of the survivors, like Oliver Queen, hunted the remaining vampires to kill them. Damian didn't want to die at their hands and was constantly hiding from people, which was difficult because every second person hated him. He couldn't hide for a long time or find peace, because everyone knew he was still alive. When it was getting closer to dawn, Damian was looking for a place to hide, he put on a hood and hid his face. When the exposed skin was already starting to burn, he ran into a house, just praying that no one was inside and tried to shake off the fire.
