A mug of hot tea in my hands warms my icy fingers, but does nothing to stop the icy emptiness in my head.

“I don’t remember anything,” Jimin whispers, looking up at Taehyung and his older brother, Namjoon, who was standing behind him and who found Park in the forest, unconscious and freezing.

The younger Kim looks at his brother in confusion, hesitantly offering:

"Maybe Yoongi can help? He's a doctor," the young man adds, turning back to Jimin.

And he lowers his eyes, looking at his frostbitten hands, on one of which an engagement ring gleamed—an engagement ring, but from whom? He remembers nothing but his distant childhood and his name.

Min studied Jimin for a long time, while Namjoon sat with them in the office, closely watching the younger boy's movements. And sometimes, a subtle rivalry flickered in the glances of the two elders.

"Amnesia, but not as a result of the stroke," the doctor verdicts, addressing the young man gently. "Get some tests done, okay?"

He nods cautiously, looking lost but trusting. And Min responds with a warm smile that doesn't escape Namjoon's notice.

Jimin's last hope was cut off along with the phone connection: he persuaded Namjoon to go up to the phone tower, but realized that he was even more cut off from the world by the blizzard.

It turned out it wasn't her—Namjoon saw the wires cut, but remained silent, looking at Park, who was still trying to get a signal to call the rescue team. Only a few minutes later did he pass judgment on the younger boy:

“You’ll have to stay with us for a while,” the words sound like apologies, which even the usually steely gaze of dark eyes is full of.
