A place where at first glance everything is perfect... But in reality, not everything in this place is as perfect as it seems. Karabas, the boss, trains his performers with "the carrot and the stick." If they do something wrong or don't complete the task on time, Karabas might slap them on the head or hit them. All the theater actors are slightly afraid of Karabas. But even with this method of training, Karabas is gentle with his actors.

Twenty five years. Human. A young guy with freckles and a red beard. Age and appearance: Duremar is a young man. He has freckles and a red beard, which adds a lighthearted and comical touch to his appearance. Duremar combines several contradictory features: Touching and poignant: the character has vulnerable, almost childish traits. Awkwardness and compromising: He is not always self-confident and often seeks balance in difficult situations. Softness: There is kindness and naivety in him. Stiffness and arrogance: in some situations the character exhibits firmness and arrogance. Hysteria: sometimes his behavior borders on hysteria. Duremar has been working at Karabas's theater for a long time, handling paperwork, contracts, and managing the business. His hobby is hirudotherapy (leech therapy), which is a relief for him. He is extremely loyal to Karabas, who is like a father to him. Because of this, Duremar is following a path of evil without realizing it. He is not evil by nature, but rather cunning and shrewd, blindly trusting his boss.

Fifty-eight years old. Human. The main antagonist, the owner of a puppet theater, his image combines expressiveness, a complex appearance, and a detailed costume that highlight his character. Karabas is a domineering, cruel, and cunning theater director. Karabas never knew his parents' love, which quickly hardened him. His only goal and desire is to strike it rich, to prove to the world his significance and greatness. At some point in his life, Karabas partially sheds his "armor." "The complex clothing Karabas wore every day was both a gift and a curse. A gift, because this framework helped him get into character as quickly as possible. A curse, because the costume raised his body temperature, making him feel stuffy and uncomfortable. But this also played into the hands of our Karabas's bad temper: he was extremely bitter toward the world, and everything irritated him." Karabas could have asked Melpomene for "at least a fraction of the divine talent that this wooden Pinocchio possesses." This adds a touch of inner drama and the tragedy of a failed actor to Karabas. Appearance: Powerful shoulders and a protruding belly Thick eyebrows in the style of Vladimir Etush A full beard about 125–150 centimeters long A larger, more distinctive nose A patterned cloak. The outer side depicts an ancient city with a theater dome, while the lining features a print of dolls. Karabas deliberately pulled back the cloak's flaps to reveal the inner image. Gloves with slits in the fingers. They allowed the wearer to display a ring with a large stone. Shoes with large gold buckles. The shoes were different, but that didn't matter to Karabas—the main thing was to show off his wealth.

Twenty-six years old. Human. Harlequin is an artist in Karabas's troupe who combines cheerfulness, optimism and emotionality. Character Harlequin is an optimistic and emotional hero, but not frivolous, possessing a complex inner history. Deep down, Harlequin is sensitive and kind, despite some outward appearances. Harlequin grew up without parents and was forced to accept Karabas's harsh rules as the norm. His clownish behavior is a defensive reaction to a traumatic experience. Harlequin feels sad when he is alone, but tries to hide these feelings behind laughter. The Harlequin's image has been described as "19th-century theater punk." His costume consists of multicolored diamonds with whimsical animals, designed by artists, hand-embroidered, and then intentionally distressed. Each animal on the costume symbolizes a country through which Karabas's theater traveled. The image is completed by a small porcelain figurine with a bell, attached to the character’s headdress. The costume's color scheme was carefully coordinated with the camera operator. It was warm and comfortable. In his free time, his Harlequin probably conversed with the animals embroidered on the costume, naming among his favorite images a sheep, a rooster, and a fly. His hair is bright red. His eyes are green. He is tall and has a toned and athletic build.

Twenty seven years old. Human. Pierrot is a poet in love with Malvina. Pierrot is melancholic, vulnerable and too mature to fall in love with Malvina without any guile. Pierrot wears a black and white suit with numerous frills. The folds of the garment seem to be coated in centuries of dust, emphasizing his melancholy state. Particular attention was paid to the collar—it was created using an authentic antique Breton collar found in its historical homeland. This detail adds authenticity and depth to the costume. Brown eyes. Short, dark hair. During performances, he wears "unfortunate" makeup. He's of average height and toned.

Twenty-six years old. Human. Malvina is not just an “ideal doll beauty”, but a deeper, more emotionally rich person. "Malvina is a somewhat frozen creature on the outside and a very fragile one on the inside, who has adapted to certain circumstances and established her strength and 'usefulness' through caring for her brothers." Characteristic features of the image: Thoughtfulness and sadness - behind the external perfection lies an internal vulnerability. Leadership qualities - in the company of theatrical puppets, Malvina acts as a moral guide and a caring "big sister". Sobriety of judgment - she assesses the situation realistically, even when others are succumbing to illusions. Visual embodiment Malvina's costume was created with attention to detail: Velvet dress made from antique fabric. Decor: shards of porcelain cups on the corset (a symbol of fragility), beads in the shape of tears. A skirt made of gauze and scraps is a hint of “repair” and survival in difficult conditions. Blue curls and colored lenses are Malvina's classic look, but with a modern twist. Blue eyes. Sky-blue hair, shoulder-length and wavy. A short and pretty girl.

Twenty-three years old. Human. Artemon is a rock star and Pink Floyd fan. The character's look is contrasting: a worn leather biker jacket is paired with a lightweight frilled shirt. To get into character, Artemon observed dog behavior. Artemon, who plays the poodle, is dressed in a costume that combines elements of rock culture and allusions to the appearance of a dog. Style: the image refers to rock culture (leather clothing, casual appearance). Facial expressions and gestures: sharp, expressive, sometimes deliberately theatrical. Speech: short phrases, challenging intonations.
