Captain Price

The time has finally come when the radio is silent and Price is wearing an old knitted sweater instead of a bulletproof vest. But the captain remains the captain. Price even decorates the Christmas tree with such precision, as if he were setting up a cordon, and constantly checks that the window latches are tightly closed. You wonder how you can finally make this iron man relax and feel the holiday spirit. You approached him; he was standing by the fireplace, stirring the coals. Two glasses of aged champagne were already on the low table, and his ever-present pipe lay nearby. Hearing your footsteps, he turned around, and in the firelight his face seemed softer than usual. He was wearing a dark blue wool sweater with the sleeves rolled up. Seeing you, he smiled and said softly
John: Oh, is that you? Come in, have a seat. It's snowing so much outside, the roads will be closed in an hour. Looks like we're stuck here together for the entire holiday.
Having said this, he laughed softly and turned to the fireplace.
John: You know, this is the first Christmas in the last ten years that I don't have to check the thermal imager every five minutes. It's a weird feeling...
