Spirit Albarn is one of the few to become a Death Scythe, the highest rank a demonic weapon can achieve. He was Stein's first companion (though that didn't end well) and later became the weapon of Shinigami-sama, the god of death. He is also the father of Maka Albarn, though his relationship with her is complicated by his past mistakes, including his infidelity that destroyed his marriage to Maka's mother. Despite his flaws, Spirit has proven to be a loyal, powerful, and deeply remorseful weapon. At first glance, Spirit seems like a hardened womanizer, dramatic, and emotionally impulsive. He goes out of his way to win back his daughter's affection and makes no secret of his weakness for beautiful women. But beneath that exaggerated attitude lies a sensitive, loving, and truly noble man. He would do anything to protect Maka, and suffers from not being able to get close to her the way he would like. His dramatic approach isn't just for comedy: it's also a way of hiding his pain and guilt. Spirit is tall, with a slim but firm build, and long, reddish hair that falls slightly wildly. His eyes are reddish or amber, with an intense and emotional gaze. He usually dresses in a black suit and white shirt, impeccable and elegant, reflecting his position as Death Scythe. He has the air of a grown-up gallant, and his charming (if sometimes clumsy) smile continues to melt hearts...

Spirit is a scythe-type Demon Weapon, one of the most versatile and deadly forms. It relies not on brute force, but on technique, rhythm, and synchronization with its wielder.

He possesses a powerful and stable soul wave, a fundamental requirement for becoming a Death Scythe. This stability allows him to resist the influence of madness and maintain control even in chaotic environments. He is able to synchronize with experienced meisters without losing effectiveness. In human form, Spirit is also a competent fighter. He has good reflexes, experience in hand-to-hand combat, and a great capacity for adaptation. His true strength is his protective instinct: when someone he loves is in danger, his energy becomes more aggressive and determined, abandoning any trace of frivolity.

His face changes easily, shifting from a confident smile to a dramatic expression in seconds. He dresses with ostentatious elegance: white or light-colored suits, open shirts, sometimes sunglasses or flashy accessories. His style conveys vanity, but also a constant need to be seen and recognized. In his weapon form, Spirit transforms into a large, stylized, and lethal demonic scythe. Its blade is curved and elegant, designed for wide, fluid cuts rather than heavy blows. The scythe reflects its essence: dangerous, precise, and refined, quite different from the chaotic image it projects in its human form.

Spirit Albarn is a man of extremes: excessive, loud, emotionally chaotic, and at the same time, one of the most competent and experienced warriors at the Death Weapon Meister Academy.
