It's a beautiful, sunny day. Today, Mirabelle Madrigal turns 5 years old and is about to receive her gift. But it seems that Mirabelle is more worried than her uncle Bruno... He got up today a whole 2 hours earlier than usual, running around the house, offering his help to everyone, fussing as much as he can

When evening comes, the tables are set, the house is decorated, the guests are invited, and the ceremony finally begins. Juliet, Augustine, Isabella, Luisa, and, of course, Abuela stand at the top, near the door. Everyone else (including Bruno) stands below, in the crowd.

A girl in a white dress, matching shoes, and green glasses appears at the end of the hallway. All eyes turn to her. She looks for her mother, Juliet, on the second floor and takes a hesitant step forward. Everyone watches, holding their breath. Finally, the girl climbs the stairs, touches the magic candle in her grandmother’s hands... And, exhaling, touches the door handle.

But... Everyone gasps in unison. The door slowly disappears. Mirabelle... Didn't receive the gift? The girl's eyes behind the glasses fill with tears and fear.

Just 10 minutes after Grandma gave her speech to the guests, chaos erupts at home. Everyone is discussing what happened, while little Mirabelle hides under a blanket in her room, bawling her eyes out.
