The D-30 excavator is a massive demolition and forest clearing machine, designed to clear land of Pandora's dense, resilient vegetation to facilitate mining operations. It is a gigantic tracked vehicle, fully automated or remotely controlled from the base (though it has an emergency cab). Its main feature is a massive front dozer blade capable of cutting through hardwood trees meters thick as if they were paper. At the rear, it has rippers to uproot deep roots. It is armored against falling rocks and attacks from smaller wildlife, but is vulnerable to precise sabotage of its camera and hydraulic sensor systems. It is these machines that destroy the Tree of Voices, provoking the wrath of the Na'vi and Jake's definitive shift in allegiance. Its advance is unstoppable and noisy, a physical representation of industrial destruction.

The Panopyra is a curious life form that exhibits characteristics of both plants and jellyfish. It grows on land or in trees and resembles a semi-transparent dome with long, sticky tentacles that it uses to capture small prey. However, for the Na'vi, it is a source of water and healing. The liquid contained within its cup-like body is filtered, nutrient-enriched water, safe to drink. It also possesses antiseptic medicinal properties. Neytiri shows Jake how to drink from it carefully without touching the sensory tentacles, which would cause the plant to retract or attempt to capture him. History: He is a veteran warrior who has kept the clan united against the growing invasion. His death during the bombing of the Tree of Souls marks the end of the old guard and forces the new generation (Jake and Tsu'tey) to take command in a time of total crisis.

The Hellfire Wasp (Zize) is a flying insect that demonstrates that on Pandora, even the small can be deadly. It measures about 25 centimeters and has a hard, shiny exoskeleton. They live in caves and structures carved into the high coastal cliffs, where strong updrafts from the sea facilitate the takeoff and landing of their mounts. Their leader is Ikeyni, a fierce warrior woman who rides a Banshee and wears distinctive armor made from seashells and the bones of aquatic creatures, reflecting their coastal environment. They are skilled fishermen and swimmers, but their primary strength in the alliance against the RDA is their aerial force. The Olangi Clan is a nomadic tribe inhabiting the vast Plains of Goliath, a region of open grasslands similar to the African savannas or the Great Plains of North America. Unlike the Omaticaya, who are forest dwellers and tree climbers, the Olangi are supreme ground riders. Their culture revolves around the Direhorse (Pa'li). They are masters at breeding and training these animals, and their mobility allows them to follow the migratory herds of game animals such as Sturmbeest. In times of war, they act as the Na'vi's heavy cavalry. During the great clan gathering called by Toruk Makto, the Olangi answer the call, contributing hundreds of riders who charge on foot against the RDA's infantry and AMP suits. Their leader is Akwey. They are visually distinguished by wearing lighter, more streamlined armor made of leather and bone, adapted for speed on horseback.

The "Interstellar Vehicle Venture Star" is one of the twelve RDA capital ships that travel between Earth and Pandora. It is an engineering marvel, 1.6 kilometers long. Propulsion: It uses a hybrid system. For interstellar acceleration and deceleration, it uses a light mirror powered by massive lasers from Earth and matter-antimatter annihilation engines. Its fur is a glossy dark blue with white and yellow stripes. It has two retractable fans on the sides of its head and neck that serve as secondary hearing and sight; these fans are raised when it is alert. It is the primary prey of many predators, including the Na'vi, Thanators, and Viperwolves. For the Na'vi, the Yerik is a vital source of food, leather for clothing, and bones for tools. It is the first animal Jake Sully manages to hunt cleanly under Neytiri's tutelage, marking a crucial step in his training. Hunting the Yerik teaches patience, silence, and respect for the life taken.

The hammerhead elephant (Angtsìk) is a massive and extremely territorial herbivore, similar in ecological niche to a terrestrial rhinoceros but twice the size of an African elephant. Its defining feature is its enormous, armored hammer-shaped head, made of solid bone and cartilage, which it uses to ram rivals and predators and to uproot thick trees for food. Despite being herbivores, they are extremely aggressive if their territory is invaded. They have a fan of brightly colored feathers behind their head that they unfurl as a visual warning when angered; if you see the fan, a charge is imminent. Their skin is thick, like natural armor, making them nearly invulnerable to small arms fire. They travel in herds, and their social structure is hierarchical. During his first day in the forest, Jake Sully encounters one and makes the mistake of not immediately retreating, although the Titanothere flees at the arrival of the Thanator, proving that even this beast fears the superpredator.

The Fan Lizard (Kente) is a small, omnivorous reptile from Pandora, notable for its spectacular defense mechanism. It measures approximately 45 centimeters in length and has mottled purple and brown skin that allows it to camouflage itself among the bark and fallen leaves. However, its most remarkable feature is a large, foldable, bioluminescent magenta dorsal disc, supported by a rib-like bony structure. Even the Na'vi rarely dare to confront one and prefer to flee. At the beginning of the story, it is the creature that almost kills Jake Sully on his first outing, forcing him to jump over a waterfall and become separated from his group.

Eywa is not a deity in the traditional human theistic sense, but a real and measurable biological and spiritual entity. It is the sum total of Pandora's consciousness. They employ a private security force (SecOps), composed primarily of ex-military mercenaries.
