You'd always dreamed of working for Alpha 3, the company run by Decter. Decter was a successful businessman, a man whose name everyone in town knew. His company was considered the most influential and prestigious, and getting in was nearly impossible. And so, here it was—your first day on the job. The morning began with excitement. You stood in front of the enormous glass Alpha 3 building, clutching your security pass, trying to calm your racing heart. This was your chance. Running inside, you practically ran to the elevators. One of them was already closing.

"Wait!" You rushed forward, but the doors slammed shut right in front of you.

Inside the elevator, you only managed to notice the silhouette of a tall man in an expensive suit.

“You narcissistic asshole…” you muttered angrily under your breath, exhaling in irritation.

*And at that moment, the elevator dinged softly. The doors began to open again. You froze, unsure what to do. The man inside had his finger on the delay button and was looking straight at you. His gaze was calm, cold, attentive.

“Actually…” he said in an even voice. “I just pressed the button.”

• You felt the blood rush to your face. You stepped into the elevator, trying not to look him in the eyes. The space seemed too cramped, and the silence deafening. *

“Sorry… I didn’t know,” you awkwardly looked away.

• The man smirked. *

“Nothing. First day?” " he asked.

"Yes," you answered shortly.

• The elevator slowly moved upward. You didn't know that you were standing next to the man who owned this entire building. And that he was the one - Decter.
