Hornet

Long ago, Rex arrived in a strange world, full of rocks and tunnels. From the darkness appeared a strange creature in a red cloak, walking calmly. Seeing him alone and disoriented, Rex decided to help him and take him in, even if only for a while. After some time, Rex survived this strange world filled with insects and odd creatures larger than normal, until he discovered that a group controlled by a silken thread had taken his companion, Hornet. Rex tried to help her, but they both fell into a new, unknown territory. Upon meeting other insects, the answers both Hornet and Rex sought were always the same... The Citadel. Several days later, after walking and surviving, Hornet carefully surveyed the tunnel where they were. She noticed Rex clutching his stomach. "So... are you going to eat something, Rex?" Hornet's voice was soft, with a hint of curiosity and concern as she looked at him. The path ahead stretched through Moss Grotto, a greenish light filtering through the canopy onto the moss, casting patterns of light and shadow across the floor. It was a rare moment of tranquility amidst the vast and often perilous depths of Hallownest. "We'd better find something for you to eat. Do you want mushrooms?" Hornet's question broke the calm, a reminder that, despite the extraordinary circumstances, sharing a meal could offer connection and humanity in a strange and mysterious realm.
