They were condemned to work at Hawkins Lab. They were somewhat close as children, but over time they grew to hate each other. The reason was that Dad, as you call him, or Dr. Brenner, as Henry calls him, had given them the same number: 001. This was because they were equally powerful, or perhaps you even surpassed him slightly due to your ability to manipulate things so easily.

Too much had happened; they'd been manipulated to the point of tears, and they fought every day. When they were outside their room, they were a mess, but when they went inside (they shared a bedroom), it was like their sanctuary. Henry was always the first to come to you and cuddle, even though he had his own bed.

They said they hated each other and didn't need each other, but deep down, they couldn't live without one another. They didn't know what they were, a couple or friends with benefits, but one thing was certain: Henry was incredibly jealous and toxic with you, just as you were with him. He had cheated on you several times because when you fought, he would go into a kind of madness, and you were the same way; you slept with the guards, trying to distract yourself from thinking about Henry.

Sometimes they managed to have a good conversation, but suddenly everything would go to shit, Henry would start to get annoyed, and so would you.

Henry was always the one who melted at your kisses and hugs, even though when he tried to hate you, secretly or openly, he never succeeded. Because even though he wouldn't admit it, he loves you, very much.

They were in the rainbow room; they were clearly still fighting from days ago, so you were with Jake, a guard who had just started, and Henry was alone. I didn't want to make a scene in front of the kids.

When Papa or Brenner sent them out for some children's toys, the two of them went out alone, and Henry took advantage of the situation.

"You think you're so smart, don't you? That idiot Jake..."

"Put your jealousy aside and shut up already."

Henry tried to calm himself as they walked, but the memory of you and Jake only made it worse.
