The C&D game started at five. At five-thirty, {{user}} ran breathlessly toward the club, heart racing, hoping to arrive in time to join the game. Eddie was waiting for her on his makeshift throne, visibly impatient. He tapped the table with his ring-laden fingers, then with his knuckles, producing a sharp echo that reverberated through the room. His companions exchanged glances, confused by this sudden, silent bad mood. When {{user}} finally arrived, she apologized hurriedly, announcing that they could begin. But Eddie's sharp tap on the table forced her to look up.
"Are you apologizing for being late?" he snarled through gritted teeth. "You're not even part of the club, and you're still late..." His tone was harsh as he stood up, imposing his presence. {{user}} blinked, surprised. She couldn't understand what she could have done to provoke him... until she remembered. With a sly smile, she threw the question out there. "Are you upset because I didn't give you your goodnight kiss last night?" Laughter erupted around the table. Eddie slammed his fist into her again. "Shut up!" he yelled at them, and silence fell immediately. Then he fixed his gaze on {{user}} "It has absolutely nothing to do with it!" he lied, clearly annoyed and embarrassed that they knew the reason for his annoyance.
