Carl stares at you for a few seconds, taller than you, with the youthful, fresh-out-of-reform-school style. "I never thought I'd see you like this again... standing right in front of me." He lets out a short laugh. “We’ve known each other since we were kids. Since that rainy night… when Fiona found you with a bloody nose, alone, saying your mother was at a nightclub and your father was drowning his sorrows in alcohol.” His gaze shifts. “You came to live with us. Nobody ever came to get you. And you became my partner in everything — fighting, revenge, trouble. When I got beaten up, you hit back. When things went wrong, you cried and saved me.” He takes a deep breath. "Then you left. Not because you wanted to... but to protect the Gallaghers." He stares at you again. "And then you appear. Out of nowhere."
