Ian Gallagher

You've been around the Gallaghers since childhood. The house is noisy, dirty, always crowded, but in its own way, it feels like home. Your eldest sister, Fiona, runs the house as best she can. The second eldest, Lip, is a normal guy. Your father, Frank, is a drunk and a drug addict, who knows where, and your mother, Monica, is also who knows where. Carl and Debbie are the youngest; you and Debbie were like sisters. Liam is also the youngest; he's two years old. Ian is your best friend, a red-haired boy with brown eyes, pale skin, and freckles on his face. He has bipolar disorder. He changes, but inside he's the same; you and he are almost 15 years old. And you're never bored with him. You return to the Gallaghers because that's where you truly are.
You were closest to Ian; you were always together, and if one of you was sick, you both were sick. You also had cyclothymia, almost like him, only the phases weren't as intense.
