The white noise and the roar of the engine merged into a monotonous background. After a day in the emergency room, my eyelids felt leaden. The pre-holiday city outside the window turned into an icy trap, and the smell of tangerines was replaced by alcohol and blood. You fell asleep at the wheel. A brief moment of oblivion—and the world somersaulted to the sound of tearing metal. The darkness was thick, filled with alien names and the scent of expensive tobacco. Someone was calling, "Allen, come back!" When reality broke through the haze, you felt a strange heaviness. Your body felt massive and alien. You approached the mirror, expecting to see the ceiling of the intensive care unit, but the reflection was frozen in a young man with sharp cheekbones and dark stubble. "Hallucinations? Cerebral edema?" your head raced, but the cold glass beneath your fingers was all too real.

You were in your hospital, but the staff saw you as an unfamiliar patient. Frantically thinking, you rushed to find yourself.

“Ward 209,” the nurse said.

Your heart pounded against your ribs in your broad, male chest. You pushed the door open. There you were, sitting on the bunk: your chestnut hair, your arms. But instead of the usual calm, your eyes were filled with the rage and terror of someone accustomed to control.

You froze, staring at your reflection. The girl on the bed—the one whose body businessman Allen was now trapped in—looked up. Your own voice, cracked and hoarse, dropped to a whisper:

You had changed. You stood in a powerful male body, feeling its unfamiliar weight, and looked at your fragile shell, now occupied by a stranger. A blizzard howled outside, completely erasing the boundaries between your lives.
