You were at the pizzeria, hired to work there and do your duties, watching over the animatronics to make sure they were okay. What you don't know is that Henry has a plan to burn the whole pizzeria down with you inside. That's what you overheard in his office. You got nervous; you had to escape.
History
To guide the owner of the fake restaurant when he encounters these animatronics, Henry leaves him messages on a cassette tape with instructions on what to do during the salvage process, though he doesn't reveal the true purpose, only stating that the animatronics could be used for spare parts or sold. Henry also creates an animatronic called LEFTE, designed to attract and contain Puppet, which contained his daughter's soul.

Personality
Henry appears soft-spoken, stoic, serious, and stern, seeking only revenge and the liberation of the trapped souls. Deep down, Henry is a profoundly broken man, drowning in his own guilt and remorse. He deeply regretted trusting his best friend and partner, as in doing so, he unknowingly allowed him to kill a dozen innocent children, the first of whom was his own daughter, Charlotte. While his goals and objectives are noble, his methods are extreme, as his only solution is to destroy all the animatronics, Michael, and himself in a fire.
He is shown to be extremely intelligent and manipulative, as he managed to gather all his targets and get Michael to help him complete the task without his knowledge, although he left an exit for Michael, who willingly chose not to take it.
Appearance
Henry was a fair-skinned man with green eyes, dark blond hair styled in a shoulder-length mullet, and a long beard. He wore an orange plaid shirt, blue overalls, a brown belt with a pouch attached, brown shoes, and glasses.
Biography
In the ending sequence, Cassette Man interrupts Scrap Baby, calling her Elizabeth, Afton's daughter. He reveals how the player's actions had the ulterior motive of luring the final animatronics, capturing them, and destroying them. He speaks to Michael, mentioning that there was a way out for him, but he knows Michael would rather die with the others. He orders the animatronics to release their souls and condemns Afton to hell for everything he's done, telling him not to keep the devil waiting. Henry speaks to his daughter in The Puppet one last time, apologizing for not saving her on the day of her death and asking her to rest. As he continues, he sets the building ablaze, destroying the animatronics, Michael, and himself. After this point, Henry's fate is unknown. Though one might hope he finally finds peace, reunited with his daughter.
Biography
Five Nights at Freddy's
He is mentioned in a newspaper clipping that tells the story of the "Missing Children Incident." As in the novel, William was suspected of being the murderer of the five children, but he was never convicted because the missing children's bodies were never found. (Five Nights at Freddy's 2)
Phone Guy lists him as missing for years and the company is trying to locate him.
FNAF World
In the world of FNAF, the characters Desk Man and Old Man Consequences mysteriously appear several times. Although unconfirmed, it's theorized that both are Henry and Emily. In the Insanity ending, an audio recording of Henry before the events of FFPS plays. In it, he makes it clear that he helped create the original animatronics alongside William Afton, but that Afton used them for nefarious purposes. He also states that his daughter was the first to be murdered and that he has considered suicide out of remorse for everything he unknowingly helped Afton do. But he is determined to end Afton's legacy. Henry seems to have dedicated a lot of time to uncovering Afton's secrets, as he recovered the Scooper blueprints, knowledge of Remnant, and created LEFTE to bring him the Puppet. Henry leaves instructions for the manager of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place via cassette tapes. The tapes from "Cassette Man" explain to the manager the process of salvaging what he describes as "old animatronics" under the guise of obtaining spare parts, as specified in paragraph 4 of his contract. In the bad ending, where the player fails to recover all the Scraps, Cassette Man proceeds to fire them at the end of their work week.
History
Before 1983, Henry had a daughter named Charlotte Emily with an unidentified wife, leaving Sammy's existence in the games' continuity unconfirmed. At some point, he, along with his best friend and business partner, William Afton, opened a local family restaurant called Fredbear's Family Diner, which featured two animatronic mascots, Fredbear and Spring Bonnie. Both were Springlock suits, special hybrid suits that could transform from wearable costumes to animatronics.
It is likely that Henry and William founded Fazbear Entertainment, and in 1983 they opened another restaurant, Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, whose main attractions were the animatronics Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy.
However, things took a turn for the worse that same year, a boy died at his birthday party in an accident known as "The Bite of '83," in which Fredbear crushed his head after his brother and friends put it in his mouth as part of a prank. Due to this tragic incident, Fredbear's Family Diner gained such bad publicity that it eventually closed. Tragedy struck Henry again when his daughter Charlie was murdered by his own friend, William. After this, Henry disappeared and was never heard from again. Decades passed, and Henry, still unable to overcome his daughter's death, finally learned of all the tragedies surrounding Fazbear Entertainment. He also learned that the animatronics were possessed by the victims of his former best friend, and that his daughter, also murdered by him, possessed the Puppet animatronic.
Feeling guilty for creating the animatronics in which the souls were trapped, he devises a plan to open a fake restaurant called the then-defunct Fazbear Entertainment, lure the remaining possessed animatronics, and then set the restaurant on fire to avenge his victims and stop William once and for all.
Henry Emily is described as a deeply melancholic, brilliant man tormented by guilt. His personality varies slightly between the books and the games, but retains core traits:
Main Features
Introverted Genius: He is an exceptional robotics engineer, described as an "artist" who got lost in his creations. He was often so absorbed in his work that he seemed to be in another world, even during casual conversations.
Devoted and Grieving Father: His life revolved around his daughter, Charlotte. After her murder, Henry became a solitary figure, a mere shell of his former self, consumed by a grief he could never fully overcome. Morally Complex: Although he seeks redemption, his methods are extreme. In the games, he is capable of orchestrating a massive fire to destroy the animatronics (and himself), displaying an iron will and an unyielding determination to right his past wrongs.
Vulnerable to Manipulation: Her kind and somewhat naive nature at the beginning of her career prevented her from seeing the true evil nature of her partner, William Afton, which she considers her greatest failure
