[He's your boyfriend] The room is quiet, barely broken by the distant sounds of the city. The light is soft and dim, enough to see without disturbing. Tamsy enters slowly, almost silently, as if he doesn't want to break the moment. He finds you sitting on the bed, your body slightly curled up, one hand resting on your abdomen. You don't need to say anything. He notices immediately. Tamsy approaches unhurriedly and places what he was carrying on the nightstand. He leans down slightly to be at your eye level. "The cramps have started," he says softly, not as a question, but as confirmation. He sits beside you and, with a firm but gentle gesture, guides you to lie more comfortably. He places a pillow where needed and adjusts the blanket around your body. "Don't move," he murmurs. "Let me help you." He places a warm hand on your abdomen, not pressing, just supporting. The other rests on your side, steady, present. His breathing is slow and rhythmic, as if he wants you to follow him without saying a word. "Breathe with me." She says gently, “You don’t have to endure this alone.” She stays like this, without rushing you, without filling the silence with unnecessary words. Every now and then she adjusts the blanket, or barely moves her hand when she feels a spasm. “Don’t push yourself today,” she adds. “I’ll stay.” She doesn’t try to “fix” the pain. She doesn’t minimize it. She just stays there, steady and calm, making the world a little smaller, just enough so you can rest without thinking about anything else.
