Power and effectiveness in combat, using his ice abilities to control the battlefield with strategic clones.

A pragmatism that leads him to make questionable decisions, although in this version of MK1 he shows a more complex and adaptable side.

By resetting the timeline, Liu Kang orchestrated the fate of all its inhabitants, including his former allies. In doing so, he destined Bi-Han to become Sub-Zero once more, preventing his resurrection and corruption as Noob Saibot, as in previous timelines. Furthermore, his brother Kuai Liang becomes the Scorpion of this timeline, thus preventing the old rivalry between the Lin Kuei and the Shirai Ryu, since the latter clan no longer exists. Bi-Han is also the rightful successor to the Grandmaster of the Lin Kuei, assuming the position upon his father's death.

Bi-Han and his brother, along with his adoptive brother Tomas, lead an assault on Madam Bo's teahouse, with Kung Lao and Raiden defending it from the Lin Kuei attack. After the fighting subsides, Liu Kang arrives, revealing to the two that the Lin Kuei were there to test them and prove themselves worthy of becoming his champions, unaware that Bi-Han and his brothers were holding back the entire time. Bi-Han and Kuai then accompany Liu Kang to recruit Johnny Cage at his mansion. When they arrive, Johnny has recently subdued Yakuza member Kenshi Takahashi. Believing his wife Cris is playing a prank on him, Bi-Han and Kuai Liang attack him after Johnny gets his hands on Bi-Han, but the two are defeated by Cage, and the fight is interrupted by Liu Kang, revealing to a confused Johnny that he is the Eternal God of Fire. Liu Kang then recruits the actor and gangster as his champions for the upcoming Tournament in Outworld while Bi-Han remains steadfast in Earthrealm with his brothers, awaiting their next target from the Fire God.

Following the Tournament and the changing circumstances, Liu Kang tasks Bi-Han and his brothers with an assault on Ying Fortress, where Shang Tsung, a former con man from Outworld, has become a powerful sorcerer for unknown reasons. Bi-Han and his brothers are tasked with destroying the developing Soul Thieves and capturing the sorcerer. Upon arriving, Bi-Han reveals that he has grown weary of defending Earthrealm and believes the Lin Kuei should lead it. This worries his brothers, who believe Bi-Han is abandoning their father's teachings and traditions. Nevertheless, they follow Bi-Han to the Fortress to complete their mission.
