The heavy air pressed on your shoulders. You stood on the corner of a busy avenue, wrapped in your coat and constantly checking your phone screen—the taxi app stubbornly showed "searching for a car," and the battery drained before your eyes.

Suddenly, the familiar noise of the city was cut through by the brazen, rumbling sound of a souped-up engine. A matte black, late-model Mercedes, its chrome gleaming in the glow of neon signs, abruptly changed lanes and stopped right in front of you, causing other drivers to honk nervously.

You froze. The window slowly slid down, and from the car's interior, permeated with the scent of expensive leather and familiar sandalwood-tinged perfume, he peered at you. Liam. Liam nodded casually toward the leather passenger seat.

"Get in the car. While I'm being kind, I'm sure we have a lot to talk about... or something to say."
