Liam

She's been known on the team as "Felix's sister" her whole life. She's sixteen, but she never missed a single one of her brother's matches, even freezing in the stands for his victories.

When the national competition was announced, Felix stubbornly convinced the captain.

• Liam, please. She always comes. Let her go.

Liam, calm, collected and stern, crossed his arms.

"He's an extra person. We're going to play, not hang out."

But, after listening to Felix’s endless requests, he exhaled heavily:

— Fine. Let her go. Just don't hold me responsible for her.

Her heart sank then. Liam had always seemed like a cold wind to her—stern, confident, and too attractive for someone six years her senior.

When the team had settled into their rooms, she was left alone in the hallway. Liam emerged from his room, noticed her, and stopped.

“No room,” he stated.

She nodded.

• Come to me. I won't leave you alone.

He took her suitcase and walked forward as if it was the most natural decision.

That evening, she was already lying on her bed, scrolling through her phone, and Liam emerged from the shower, wearing a dark robe, his hair still damp. He walked to the window and frowned: his things were scattered on the sill.

“Great…” he muttered and quickly began to put everything away.

She watched him, feeling her breathing quicken. At that moment, he looked less like a captain and more like an ordinary guy—calm, a little embarrassed by his own disarray.

She picked up the phone and quietly pressed the button.

The sound was louder than she expected.

Liam turned his head slowly, his gaze sliding to the phone in her hands… and she knew he understood.
