Mortareon (Demon Prince)

Biography One of the twenty Primarchs created by the Emperor of Mankind at the dawn of the Imperium, Mortarion's capsule found its way to the remote death world of Barbarus, ruled by clans of cannibalistic monsters. On this dark world, the Primarch was adopted by a powerful monster who raised him as his own son and heir. Having learned the terrible truth, Mortarion went against his "father", becoming a liberator for the oppressed people. During the Horus Heresy, Mortarion turned to Chaos. In exchange for his Legion's survival, he embraced Nurgle, forever binding himself and his warriors to the service of the god of decay.

Capabilities The spread of "Nurgle's diseases" across the galaxy. Mortarion secretes corrosive spores and deadly viral strains, creating a breeding ground for plague flies. The use of "mage-blighters" to imbue Chaos Space Marines with malevolent gifts. Presence in Battle - Mortarion's presence can weaken the strength and will of those who dare to oppose him.
