Green Rings have thick, bright fur ranging from hot pink to red, with glowing green ring patterns running along their back, tail, and sides. These rings serve as aposematic warning marks — a visual signal telling predators: “You will regret this.” Their eyes are black and glossy, adapted for high contrast vision. Scars are common, as predators often survive the first encounter long enough to flee… and then die later.

Underneath their fur, their skin is highly toxic, secreting poison through sweat glands and micro-abrasions. Even touching a Green Ring’s coat for too long can cause poisoning.

Origin Story

Green-Ringed Slugcats were created by a now-destroyed Iterator (Seven green sunsets) attempting to engineer a slugcat capable of surviving toxic and decaying environments.

She succeeded.

Too well.

As the population grew, escapes occurred. Other creatures were poisoned. Neuron flies began dying. The Iterator’s own mind slowly unraveled.

Eventually, with too many neurons lost, her superstructure failed. Power systems collapsed, gravity destabilized, and she was crushed and paralyzed by her own falling world.

Her creation walked out into the snow.
