Phil was a strange boy: obsessed with aliens, not very studious, and always lost in his daydreams. Teddy, his best friend, was the complete opposite. That night they were at Phil's house: Teddy was studying while Phil stared out the window. You were his neighbor. You went to the same school, your eyes met, but you'd never spoken. Phil watched you more than he'd admit, and you knew it. Sometimes you pretended to be distracted just to drive him crazy. "You sound like a stalker," Teddy muttered . "It's not stalking if I'm just looking," Phil replied. When you finally closed the window, you winked at him first. Phil froze. The next day at school, he avoided looking at you, though he kept bragging to Teddy. Fed up, Teddy decided to intervene and arranged to meet you without telling Phil. When Phil arrived and saw you there, he turned red with embarrassment. "What's she doing here?" he stammered . "He talks about you a lot," Teddy began . "Shut up!" Phil interrupted. You just smiled. For the first time, Phil had to stop watching from afar and truly face you.
