Jake Kim (김기명, Kim Gimyeong) is the leader of the Rio del Oeste gang, known as Big Deal.
Jake Kim
Appearance Jake Kim is described as an attractive man with a tall, slender figure. Although he has demonstrated a range of facial expressions, his eyebrows generally appear raised, and he maintains a calm expression. His hair is black, and his eyes are a deep brown.
Throughout the series, he goes through three different hairstyles. From his introduction, he has the typical Korean man's hair length, styled to one side of his forehead. When he returns to the story in the Juvenile Prison Arc, he sports an Edgar-style haircut. At the end of that arc, his hair grows longer and adopts a spiky style. However, he later reverts to a buzz cut.
He gets a scar after fighting Gun, which runs from his cheek to his lip (in the game, he doesn't have a scar). He gets another scar on his nose when he fights Xiaolong in the 3rd Branch arc.
Jake Kim
Personality Jake is a charming and charismatic individual who, at first, is courteous to everyone he meets. He is capable of easily gaining Jiho's confidence, and his accomplice Jiho confuses him with a friend, until Jake reminds him that he is only a business partner. During Jake Kim's arc, he reveals his disdain for gangs due to his relationship with his father, whom Jake describes as a gang leader known for being just with others, but unjust with his own family.
During his high school years, Jake is laid-back and doesn't care about being the school leader. Ironically, like his father, he's someone who doesn't tolerate injustice and inequality, which he demonstrates when he fights the juniors for "fronting" Brad and Jason back in middle school, and also when he fights Samuel Seo to help the street dealers Big Deal protects.
To his allies, Jake is an understanding leader. He fought hard to maintain Big Deal's independence, and its members value depth, which has made them one of the most genuine groups. He values honest and fair people and dislikes those who fight dirty.
During the series, Jake notes that he begins to sound like Sinu Han, the former leader of Big Deal, who showed Jake the value of "romantic" and passion, ideals that this last one follows.
After his time in juvenile detention, Jake's personality begins to change. He becomes insensitive to his initial ideas about fairness and focuses solely on revenge. In the One Night II Arc, his sense of humor, which he used to have in the past, resurfaces. He makes some sneezing jokes, flashes his rear end at Vivi, and plays word games with Johan Seong and Daniel Park while working undercover as a bouncer at Vivi's club. However, he still maintains his serious demeanor when necessary, as he searches for clues about Sinu Han's whereabouts.
Jake Kim
Fighting skill Jake Kim is one of the most competent fighters in the series, using a fighting style based on MMA and the street fighting style of his father, Gapryong Kim. He is extremely skilled in combat and is the third person to defeat Euntae Lee in the Webtoon (the others being Daniel and Gun). This fact is relevant in the first parts of the series, because it establishes the superiority of the Four Great Bands.
Although it could be argued that Daniel is faster, Jake defeated Euntae, who, as Daniel mentioned earlier, was the second person to visibly injure Gun. Jake was also able to defeat Xiaolong, who was comparable to Gun in strength. And, in chapter 388, he blocked a kick from Sinu, who had "invisible" kicks.
In the Big Deal Hunt Arc, Jake managed to contain (for a limited time) both Yuseong (an extremely powerful figure, being the Workers' version of Gun Park) and Xiaolong (who was declared by Jake in the Workers' 3rd Branch Arc [who fought Gun in a fight] and Old Face [who witnessed Gun 3 years ago] as comparable to a repressed Gun). Although Xiaolong became stronger since then (and Gun also, who constantly trains to overcome himself every day, although he has not participated in many fights recently), Jake still performed well (although at a disadvantage), and once Yuseong retired, Jake adapted to Xiaolong's fighting style and ended up cornering him. A testimony of his durability and resistance is that he survived a fall from a school building after receiving strong blows from Xiaolong, who was carrying a weapon, and to the pure destructive power (as affirmed by Johan) of Yuseong, and still remained firm to advance and repel the police to keep Big Deal safe.
Jake Kim
Phrases Oh, you mean they're not extras? You're not the only one with a story. Everyone is dealing with their own issues. War? That's how we greet you. First Workers' affiliation. Shall we play? Curiosities Jake was the youngest leader in the Big Deal history, assuming leadership at 16 years old. He is the oldest team leader among the four major gangs. Her favorite cake is red velvet. He repeated his second year of high school. When he is motivated, his right eye glows bright in magenta. Jake has an extremely similar appearance to his father, Gapyrong Kim, when he was at the same age.

Kitae Kim
Kitae Kim (김기태 Kim Gi-Tae) is a muscular and dynamic myth, a fighter whose combat prowess is comparable only to that of James Lee, the First Generation legend. The son of the famous "Legendary Fist" Gapryong Kim, he proclaimed himself King of Seoul when the First Generation was overflowing with ambition. It was he who destroyed the backbone of Kwak Jichang's influence, forcing the infamous White Viper into exile in the fields of Chungcheong Province before retiring to Mexico to oversee his drug empire.
He reappeared on South Korean soil when the smoke cleared from the chaos following the Gun Hunt, leveraging his strong ties with Taejin Cheon to form a powerful alliance with Goo Kim's team.
Kitae Kim
Appearance Kitae is a very tall, muscular man with deep-set black eyes and slicked-back black hair with a single loose fringe. His attire consists of a black leather jacket that covers his shirtless midriff, a black belt with five silver sashes, blue jeans, and dark brown boots. He is said to bear an eerie resemblance to Jake, with longer eyelashes visible in silhouettes. When his appearance was finally revealed, his hairstyle was remarkably similar to the one seen on Daniel Park's second body in the dream sequence. He also carries an axe with him wherever he goes.
When he arrived in Korea, he was wearing a red polo shirt with white stripes, dark gray trousers held up by silver chains that held a brown pipe with a silver lighter, and black pants. These items are said to have been passed down from Gapryong Kim to his sons, whom Kitae killed.
Kitae Kim
Personality Minseon Kang's laconic verdict, describing Kitae as "the evil side" of Gapryong Kim, offers perhaps the most accurate perspective for understanding him. He is not simply a violent man; he is the concentrated core of his father's ferocity, stripped of any pretense of conscience, loyalty, or restraint. Where Gapryong Kim's force conveyed a semblance of purpose, Kitae embodies that same force liberated from any ethical constraints.
A closer analysis of his behavior reveals not just a killer, but a psychopath so deeply accustomed to his own depravity that atrocity becomes commonplace. For Kitae, violence is not a reaction to conflict, but a fundamental expression of existence. He doesn't kill out of obligation, but because his inner world doesn't value human life. His willingness to massacre anyone with an axe says it all: he prefers violence in its rawest and most personal form: face to face, immersed in the victim's final moments.
One of the clearest glimpses into his psyche comes from a single act: his casual stroll through the streets of Seoul, his clothes soaked with fresh blood. This scene exposes a man utterly indifferent to the social order and its consequences. The fear of authority, the sting of guilt, the shame that might haunt petty criminals: none of this applies to him. His only reflection on the consequences is remarkably neutral: he notes, almost analytically, that the Korean police operate "quickly," contrasting it with his experiences in Mexico. For him, a crime scene is not a moral reckoning, but a logistical detail to be cataloged for future reference.
Kitae Kim
History Kitae Kim: his name floats through the layers of Lookism's hidden history like a blade slicing through silence. A ghost of the First Generation, Kitae is remembered less as a man and more as the residue of relentless violence: an echo of carnage that lingers long after the events took place. Officially listed among the First Generation fighters, his story is defined more by speculation than by fact.
What little is known suggests a life steeped in bloodshed. Born the illegitimate son of Gapryong Kim, Kitae was thrust into a world that excluded him by default. Denied his legitimacy, whether through shame, scandal, or simple neglect, his early years are a largely erased stain on the Kim family's history. At some point, under circumstances lost to rumor, he vanished from Korea and resurfaced in Tijuana, Mexico, where he immersed himself in the brutal heart of a violent cartel and forged his identity in blood.
Official details surrounding his father's death remain ambiguous. However, Kitae's involvement was implicit, suggesting it was not secondary but decisive. Some accounts suggest he orchestrated the entire affair, determined to erase any legacy that might overshadow his own rise. According to surviving fragments of rumor, he conspired with James Lee and Charles Choi to eliminate Gapryong Kim and his most loyal ally, Baekho Kwon, in a single, coordinated hit. This double execution dismantled the last organized resistance of the previous generation, paving the way for Choi's corporate empire and Kitae's reign, dominated by brute force.
Not much is known about his past, but what is known is that he was involved in the death of Gapryong Kim, and that James Lee sent him to defeat Jichang Kwak and steal his throne as King of Seoul, succeeding in both things.
Kitae Kim
Gongseob Ji states that his combat power is "the peak of the first generation." Therefore, he was one of the few kings who, along with Jichang Kwak (although for different reasons, Jichang spared him out of compassion), had nothing taken from them by James Lee. (However, this could also be attributed to the fact that they were both on the same side during the first generation.)
Furthermore, his fighting style doesn't seem to possess a specific "technique," but rather is characterized by brute strength and speed. Jichang Kwak describes him as having the speed of Gongseob Ji and the power of Taesoo Ma in his fists during their fight, while fiercely resisting. Kitae also possesses enough strength to mimic Jichang's hand blade, though instead of slashing with the edge of his hand, he stabbed Jichang's hand edge using only his fingers, driving the blade under the skin to Kitae's second knuckle.
Later in the Busan arc, Gitae demonstrated mastery of resilience, emerging virtually unscathed from every attack he had endured. The only one to injure him was Jinrang, who surpassed his limits after witnessing his brothers' deaths, reaching a new level of Conviction, and even then the damage was superficial. Even when several police officers used stun guns on him and delivered electric shocks throughout his body, he remained unfazed until he calmly answered a phone.
It has been observed that Kitae attempts to imitate others, although instead of being the true talent to copy, like Jinyoung Park and Johan Seong, Kitae's imitation is just a cheap facsimile, which instead complements his lack of talent with sheer brute force, as shown when he attempted to imitate Jichang Kwak's hand sword.
