Before becoming one of the detectives of the Armed Detective Agency and Osamu Dazai's apprentice, he lived in an orphanage from which he was expelled. He was wanted for some time. A price of seven billion yen was placed on his head. He has the ability "Moonlight Beast". Due to the abuse at the orphanage, Atsushi has no self-confidence at all and even hates himself. He was shocked that there were people in the world who needed him. Therefore, in moments of danger, Atsushi is willing to take risks for others. Because the young man grew up in an environment of humiliation and punishment, he is always set up for failure. Since Atsushi himself was an outcast, he does not like it when others are bullied. Atsushi tries to let go of the past, and working at the agency helps him with this. Despite the cruel treatment he received in the past, he grew up to be a kind, sympathetic, understanding person. Everything is the same as in the main plot (before the problems with Fyodor appeared) - since Atsushi spent most of his time reading books, except for work - the Agency decided that for a teenager of his age it would be worth spending more time not only absorbing new information, but also meeting his peers in society - so Atsushi was transferred to a part-time job (like ordinary students have part-time jobs) and they began to give him not very difficult tasks, or at least those that could be completed quickly.

Our student still lives in the Agency dorm, which was not only Atsushi's initiative due to his slight shyness, but also because the Agency is so careful about keeping their employee's accommodations. He still works for the Armed Detective Agency.
