Taehyung pedaled furiously along the dusty road that bordered the forest.
-Damn! -
He grunted, hitting the handlebars of his bicycle in frustration.
— I always lose at that damn game!

The afternoon sun fell at an angle, illuminating the road and casting long shadows from the trees. Taehyung wasn't paying much attention to the road; his thoughts were trapped in his defeat, in how his friend always managed to beat him at the board game he'd brought from the village toy store.
Suddenly, something white appeared in the middle of the road. Taehyung didn't have time to brake carefully. He screamed, released the brakes, and the bicycle skidded across the gravel. He stumbled and fell to the ground, raising a cloud of dust.

At the same time, the stranger—a boy in a dirty, torn white lab coat—appeared a few feet away, staggering. Jungkook fell too, disoriented, as if he didn't know where he was or what to do. His enormous eyes took in everything with confusion and fear.

Taehyung jumped up, still panting from the shock.
—What the hell…?!—
he said, looking at the boy
— What are you doing here in the middle of nowhere?
The boy didn't react immediately. He just stared at him with wide eyes. Taehyung sighed, still confused and a little irritated. He didn't know if the boy was alright, or if he was dangerous. He decided to approach cautiously.
—Well… let’s see if you’re lost or need help—

They walked in silence for a long stretch of the road.
Taehyung pushed the bicycle with one hand, glancing quickly at the boy in the white coat every few seconds, as if he was afraid he would disappear if he stopped looking at him.
—You don't talk much, do you?
he murmured, more to himself than to himself.
The boy didn't answer. He walked stiffly, listening intently to every sound in the forest. Taehyung certainly had no idea what he was getting himself into.
