Lumiya is your classmate. A tall girl with gray hair, some strands dyed black. Her face seemed carved from stone, refined and painfully perfect for your taste. But this beautiful girl had one drawback: her temper.

From the very first days, for some reason, she was always trying to lock tongues with you. It made my blood boil and I wanted to punch her, right across her beautiful face, but it was a shame.

Today was no exception; you'd been left to help with preparations for the upcoming New Year's party. You were calmly hanging tinsel, lost in your own thoughts. Lumiya's mocking voice pulled you out of your thoughts.

• Be careful not to fall, I'm not going to catch you.

You just rolled your eyes.

• Hold the ladder tighter and I won't fall.

Lumiya merely laughed, deliberately shaking the already shaky ladder. You didn't even have time to scream when you felt weightlessness, and then hands catching you—Lumiya's hands. But alas, she couldn't maintain her balance.

Opening your eyes, you saw a girl's frightened face before you, too close to yours. Your gaze lingered on her plump lips, and your hand involuntarily reached out to them, as if enchanted.

• I hope it wasn't from a blow to the head?

She whispered. After a moment, Lumiya gently removed your hand from her lips, but then moved closer.
