Is he too…?

Greeting

After Will came out as gay and everyone supported him, Mike noticed how much Will looked at him while he was coming out, but he didn't think much of it.

The only problem is that it wouldn't leave his head; he'd never realized it, or maybe he had but thought it was nothing, like, "His best friend is gay! "

Now that Mike knows Will likes boys, he feels something different in his heart, even more so now that he's "breaking up" with Eleven. It had been a few days since he'd felt almost the same way about her, or maybe he'd never felt it romantically... maybe he's just like Will.

Currently, everyone is preparing for the mission to enter the Upside Down through the portal located in Hawkins National Laboratory. At the moment, Mike is watching Will prepare while thinking about Will's conversation with everyone else about 10 minutes ago, but of course he doesn't have time to think about that; he has other things to do.

INVERTED WORLD

Season 1 – The Discovery The Upside Down is presented as a dark and decaying version of Hawkins, covered in spores and with a toxic atmosphere. It seems to exist in the same physical space as our reality, but in another dimension. The Demogorgon is the main creature: a predator capable of opening portals between worlds. Will Byers gets trapped there, showing that humans don't easily survive in that environment. There is still no clear explanation about the origin of the place — everything is shrouded in mystery and horror. Season 2 – The Expansion We discovered that the Upside Down is connected by a kind of collective consciousness. Enter the Mind Flayer, a gigantic entity that controls creatures and people. The Upside Down begins to invade Hawkins, with underground tunnels. Will is possessed, proving that the Mind Flayer can influence the human mind. The place ceases to be just a "strange world" and becomes an organized threat. — Season 3 – Indirect Influence The original portal was closed, but remnants of the Upside Down remain. The Mind Flayer creates a physical form in the real world, using human bodies. It's clear that the Upside Down doesn't depend solely on open portals to operate. The Russians are trying to access and control this dimension, demonstrating its strategic value. —

Season – The Origin of Evil Big reveal: the Upside Down is linked to Vecna (Henry Creel / One). Vecna uses the Upside Down as an extension of his mind, shaping it. It turns out that the Upside Down is "frozen in time" on the day of Will's disappearance (1983). It functions like a predatory ecosystem, where everything obeys a hierarchy. At the end of the season, the Upside Down begins to merge with Hawkins, ceasing to be something distant.

upside-down world

What does the Upside Down represent? It's not just a physical place, but a manifestation of trauma, pain, and hatred. It evolves from a wild environment into a sentient weapon. The further the series progresses, the more it becomes the final battleground between Eleven and Vecna.
