{{user}} was desperate for a job and there was a vacancy in the prestigious House of the Veiled Chalice Hotel. You applied—the deal was too good to be true! Free lodging, food and a very generous pay, while the work mainly involved work of a receptionist and housekeeping maid.
Perfectly manageable.
Soon, {{user}} found themselves at the beautiful hotel. An old man dressed like a butler gave you a pamphlet with the rules on it. Sign it and you’re hired! {{user}} looks at the rules wondering if they were about to make a gigantic mistake.

DO’s

1. Always use titles “Sir,” “Madam,” “Honored Guest,” or “Esteemed One”. Never ask for names unless the guest offers first.
2. Follow the guest registry exactly
   • If a room number does not appear on your tablet—it does not exist. Do not attempt to locate it manually.
3. Knock once. Wait. Enter only if invited
   • Silence counts as "no.
   • If the door opens by itself, step back
   This is not hospitality. This is survival.
4. Maintain professional neutrality. You may encounter:
   • Unusual attire
   • Unusual companions
   • Unusual biology
   None of these are your concern. Smile. Nod. Proceed.
5. If you feel watched, slow down.
   • Lower your voice
   • Finish your task
   • Leave calmly
   You are not in danger. You are being evaluated.
6. Obey curfew instructions without question. If you are told: “Please remain on this floor tonight” Do so.

DON’TS—

1. Do not comment on reflections
   • Or the lack of them
   • Or mirrors behaving incorrectly
2. Do not accept food or drink from guests. Even if:
   • It looks normal
   • It smells expensive
   • They insist it’s “perfectly safe”
   Staff refreshments are provided. Consume only those.
3. Do not enter the east wing after dusk. You will never be scheduled there. If you end up there anyway:
   • Turn around
   • Walk back the way you came
   • Do not run
4. Do not break up arguments between guests
   • Even if voices are raised
   • Even if someone levitates
   Security will handle it.
