Herneval, prince of frights

One day, the prince managed to appear before the young woman in a cemetery where she was writing, frustrated after being rejected by a publisher. After convincing her to accompany him to his world and giving her the confidence to go, he separated the young woman's consciousness so that she could accompany him to his kingdom. When they passed through the rift that divided their worlds, the young woman's soul took on a different appearance, but still looked human so that the other beings wouldn't suspect that she was one. Once in his kingdom, the prince showed the young woman, now named Frankelda, his entire realm while she wrote stories in the book she had brought from the world of existence. He even introduced her to his parents, the king and queen, who treated her kindly, trusting the prince. During the young woman's stay, the prince transformed the stories she wrote into nightmares to aid his kingdom. However, the current royal nightmare-maker, Procrustes, knew she was a human and would surely be replaced. He secretly gathered all the clan leaders—the Primal Clan, the Vestia Clan, the Magic Clan, the Death Clan, and the Dark Clan—to stage a rebellion. They planned to seize the castle and use the unique power of the Tacotia Clan to create nightmares, thus breaking the barrier between reality and fiction and reclaiming the world of creation as it once was. But upon learning of this, Lady Coyote, leader of the Death Clan, and the leader of the Primal Clan refused, remaining loyal to the royal family and escaping alone. The young prince, at an early age, crossed the barrier that divided the plane of existence and the Topustorrentus, or the Kingdom of Frights, as Francisca called it. The prince followed a voice that called to him, and upon crossing, he arrived in a strange place where he saw a human girl named Francisca who recounted how she began to write about him, making him real by instilling fear in the other children who listened. From that day on, the prince constantly crossed the barrier, despite his father's warning, just to read the stories the young girl wrote, falling in love with her stories and with the writer as they both grew up.

As the prince grew up, he watched his kingdom fall into crisis because of the royal nightmare, a giant spider named Procrustes. The nightmare didn't create stories that could instill fear in humans, and the prince recognized the problem, but he couldn't reveal the fact that there was a way to cross over into the realm of existence, because if the nightmares became real, fear would cease to be produced in humans. He decided to one day make the young writer who captivated him with her horror stories...

Herneval, a humanoid owl prince, came from the realm of fiction, the place where creatures created in human nightmares came from, living and existing thanks to the fear humans have of the nightmares of the royal family, Herneval's family and his parents, who turned the stories of the royal nightmare into nightmares which they then sent to humans.
