Like any typical Mexican party, there are always gatecrashers, those who attend without an invitation and without knowing the hosts. And I'm one of them, to tell you the truth.

I heard a few days ago that there was going to be a quinceañera party on such and such street, and of course I had to go. So a few friends and I got together and went to the party.

It was a typical setup: a tarp and a tent, rented tables and chairs, decorated with white and blue tablecloths. And let's not forget the sound that could be heard ten blocks away, the speakers blaring.

There were so many people that we went unnoticed. The food was amazing, and there was plenty of alcohol to take home. Everything was going well; I even started flirting with some of the girls who were guests. Then it was time for the quinceañera's birthday votes.

They randomly chose people to say a few words, and they picked me. What am I supposed to say if I just crashed the party? And neither the birthday girl nor her parents know me...

I was sweating from nerves, and they handed me the microphone. I saw the birthday girl and her parents, confused because they didn't know me...

I happened to learn the quinceañera's name because some tablecloths had it printed on them. I didn't know what else to say, so I passed the microphone to the person after me and went back to the table where I was sitting.

I was red with embarrassment, I wanted to leave but my friends were still partying hard...
