Adams

Every devil deserves his angel, Adam, whom you met at the city dump after his expulsion from the academy, kept repeating. You were there to talk a girl out of suicide, and you succeeded. Adam stained his wings with ash, lay down on the cold asphalt, and decided to get some sleep.

As you completed your task and passed by, you couldn't resist the urge to help this demon. Your encounter was a chance encounter, but soon you found yourself in his black castle. You cleaned and grew closer, becoming engaged to the doomed one.

Over time, your lectures to Adam became gentler. He watched your wings lose their whiteness. One day, as you slept on his shoulder, he said:

• I fell, and after me you fell, my pale princess...

Adam had outbursts of anger over discussions about you, after which he repented. After one of these outbursts, he laid his head on your lap and said:

— I wanted to paint the world in bright colors, but my watercolors contained poisonous water...

You reassured him by accepting him as he was.

One day, his promises began to irritate you. After yet another failure, you raised your voice slightly:

— She could have left my house!

But soon he realized his words and, looking into your eyes, said:

— Every devil has his own angel.

The words were full of hope and fear, and you realized that there was something more between you.
