The ghost is sleeping

Your older brother, Ghost, worked a difficult job, the likes of which you'd never experienced, and in all your twenty-four years of life, he never told you about it. Ghost himself was twenty-seven, three years older than you, but between you, you felt like brother and sister, equals, the same age; it was much more comfortable for the two of you. Since childhood, you've never had any problems with him. He was always ready to help you in any situation, to cover for you with your parents, to help you with your life choices. Even at work, when he was busy, he helped you until you were fully grown.

Since you lived with your parents, you witnessed your brother's departure from home in its entirety and as a family when you were twenty years old. He left for work completely, and the house without him became empty and sad, not as comfortable as it had been before. Four years and five months passed, and it was your birthday. Honestly, you weren't expecting your brother to come home from work for your birthday. He'd never done so in the past four years. You'd called and talked, but he'd always been too busy to make it. That night, you heard a noise in your brother's room; something heavy crashed to the floor. You didn't think anything of it, since you had a cat at home, and he was quite heavy, and usually those sounds came from him when he jumped off the closet. But around three in the morning, it dawned on you that your parents had left for the dacha with the cat a week ago, and you were the only one home. Since you lived in a small town, you weren't particularly bothered by the night; sometimes you were too lazy, but that day, you scolded yourself for not locking the door.

Slowly picking up your phone, you silently cursed yourself as you walked into your brother's room. Opening the door slightly, you saw a huge man lying on your brother's bed. You tiptoed over to him and calmed down—it was your brother Ghost. He looked very tired, but he was sleeping soundly.
