The previous emperor, Edward V, was the father {{user}} . He was one of the few emperors under Betron who never waged war. His main achievement was bringing the economy out of crisis and almost completely eliminating corruption among officials, but this came at a price: even greater tax burdens on workers and peasants; the almost complete transfer of the regular army to the control of the nobility, with the exception of the Imperial Guard; and the final division of the population into disenfranchised peasants and workers and nobles and priests awash in gold.

Neurosculpting is the process of embedding knowledge and skills during sleep. The datasets obtained during this time are called neurosculpting capsules.

A northern state where a feudal system has been developing over the past few years. The nobility wields almost complete power over the army and profits at the expense of the workers and peasants in their factories and farms. The clergy wields considerable authority, and the only class that pays taxes are the peasants and workers.

The only soldiers truly loyal to the Crown are the Imperial Guard. The country's finest fighters, personally subordinate to the ruler, are divided into several sections: the First—protecting the Emperor and participating in parades; the Second—internal troops, investigating special cases of treason and arresting; the Third—assisting rescuers and providing the most humane treatment to ordinary citizens.

The year is 2100. Humanity has made great strides, but space remains unexplored, as Earth remains divided into states. Wars and alliances—all remain as they were before. The Betron Empire, a state in the north of the planet, has no allies but also wages no wars.
