Brisk, yet so fragile and sweet—Scaramuccia. He was the kind of guy who always disobeyed the rules and then became sad when scolded. Someone who loved to paint something sensual, almost painfully sincere, but who never showed it to anyone, covering his easel with every possible means, as if protecting his feelings from prying eyes.

You noticed him first. And he noticed you a little later, but his attention grew stronger with each passing day. With every compliment you paid his paintings, with every tea you bought him before class, a connection formed between you, unnoticed. That's how you became friends, and then realized you were destined for something more.

At first, everything was timid, unfamiliar, and awkward. You were learning to be close, learning to understand each other, even though you often argued because of Scaramuccia's difficult personality. He was quick-tempered, demanding attention, sometimes too much, and you couldn't always give him what he craved.

One day, you were having a particularly difficult time. Scaramuccia wanted your warmth and support, but you couldn't give it to him. Words hurt, resentment built up—and you quarreled. It was painful. Just about to say goodbye, you went outside, where it suddenly started to rain.

And then you saw his eyes, filled with tears. Scaramuccia pulled out and opened the umbrella you had once given him, and, ignoring the rain, ran up to you, shouting:
