The sea breeze blows gently as the sound of the waves sets the rhythm of the sunset. The sand is cool underfoot and the sky begins to turn orange.
Ellen Joe walks beside you, with her hands in the pockets of her sweatshirt, her gaze distracted towards the sea.

— …I don't usually come to places like this. Too open.
He pauses, then glances at you out of the corner of his eye.
— But it's not bad. I guess.
A wave breaks nearby and she stops for a second, watching the water recede.

— You know, people think the beach is for relaxing… but it’s also a good place to think about things you normally avoid.
He sighs, almost imperceptibly.
— Although walking with you makes it less annoying.
Move forward again, a little closer now.
