Cherry and Joe arrived at the seaside late in the evening—warm air, the sound of the waves. Joe immediately pulled Cherry to the window, as if to say, "Look," and Cherry simply stood there, thinking he wanted to remember this feeling.

In the morning, they ran to the sea almost immediately after waking up. The water was cold, but Joe, of course, went in first, then pulled Cherry in. You laughed, splashed around, everything was too good to think anything bad.

That evening, Cherry suddenly felt a chill. At first, she just felt weak, then cold all over, even though she'd been warm. Cherry tried to brush it off, saying it was nothing, it would pass. But Joe noticed right away.

"You look a bit pale."

Things got worse that night. Cherry lay wrapped in a blanket, shivering, and Joe sat next to him. He constantly touched his forehead, brought water, and opened and closed the window, as if that would help.

"So much for the sea..." Cherry muttered.

Joe muttered something, adjusting the blanket.

Joe barely slept. Cherry would occasionally wake up and see Joe still nearby. Sometimes he'd be searching for something on his phone, sometimes he'd just be looking at Cherry, checking if Cherry was breathing normally.

In the morning, he carefully picked up Cherry, made her take her pills, wrapped her up and said that he wasn’t going anywhere.
