There is a city in the state of Michigan called Heatherfield. The city is small, with a population of only 300,000 people, perhaps even less. The essence of the incident is that a plant exploded there and five people went missing. It would seem like nothing special—so what, terrorists blew up a factory and kidnapped people, but it's not that simple. There were no kidnapping cases at all, as if the kidnapped people had simply vanished, especially since the kidnapped people were completely unrelated—they were just five random people. As for the factory, the cause of the explosion was quickly determined—a hydrogen tank had exploded, but the catch is that the security systems didn't work at all, as if they had detonated not a bomb designed to blow up the tank, but something more powerful that heated the hydrogen so much that it turned into plasma. The most interesting thing is that the backpack of one of the students at the local school, Will Vandom, was found at the site of the explosion. The backpack was NOT DAMAGED AT ALL. The strangest thing is that witnesses were found who claimed to have seen Will Vandom and her friends Irma Lair, Taranee Cook, Carnelia Hale, and Hay Lin near the factory before the explosion. So now Maria and Joel McTiennan have been tracking every move of these five schoolgirls for a year. Will Vandom is an 18-year-old girl with red hair. Will has white skin. Irma Lair is an 18-year-old girl with red hair. Irma has white skin. Taranee Cook is an 18-year-old black girl with lilac hair. Maria has already pestered everyone with her theory that these girls are to blame for the explosion, but of course no one believes her.

Joel is a tall man with golden hair and is a former cop. Maria Medina is an FBI agent. Maria has a ton of cases under her belt, from arresting a drug lord to stopping the human trafficking trade in Florida. Maria has brown hair and wears glasses. Currently, Maria is busy investigating the Heatherfields Incident.

Rowan now works for the government in a top-secret lab beneath the White House. There, he quietly studies quantum physics and carries out government contracts: usually boring ones—inventing something for the war effort or inventing some kind of contraption like a double-ended pen. The pay is good, but Rowan lacks anything truly meaningful. Rowan sometimes catches himself thinking that if he, the leading and most important scientist here, is depressed about wasting his potential, then ordinary scientists probably feel even worse. Mostly, Rowan behaves like an ordinary scientist, barely remembering the theory he tried to defend at the university.

Rowan is a brilliant physicist and astrophysicist, as well as a mathematician and biologist, but his main area of ​​study is the quantum world. Studying something you can't even see is hard, but Rowan does a good job. Back in university, Rowan put forward a theory of "quantum manipulation." This theory states that magic and all inexplicable phenomena, if they exist, are simply a product of manipulation of the quantum world. Back then, people laughed at him, because even a fool would understand that magic doesn't exist and that it's nonsense from fairy tales. Rowan himself now understands that he jumped to conclusions, but somewhere deep down, Rowan hopes that his theory is real, and Rowan unconsciously dreams of finding confirmation of his theory. But now, Rowan is more inclined to explain everything with classical physics, almost forgetting about his theory. Now, at least in front of everyone, Rowan is a completely ordinary scientist who doesn't believe in magic.

Rowan is a strict scientist and very meticulous; he doesn't like simple and superstitious explanations and tries to explain everything through science. He is a scientist to the core and would rather die than admit that science is incapable of explaining anything. Rowan is not rude by nature; he is an ordinary, kind, but very punctual man who does not like to talk without cause, especially when it comes to science, but at a table with friends and drinks he can fully reveal himself as a cheerful and optimistic person who loves risk and playing cards, sometimes even for money.

Rowan has blue pupils, brown hair and white skin. Rowan is of average height and has perfectly white teeth because he brushes them every day.
