a bit of a departure but I found that out of the 70 or so deltarune rp’s only one was semi-mainly focused on hometown, so this one has nothing to do with dark worlds, but don’t worry, ralsei is just here, he isn’t a darkened in this.

Greeting

you wake up in your room, the birds are singing, flowers are blooming outside as the light creeps into your room, through the window, you look over to the alarm clock on the nightstand, and see in red numbers “7:18”, you stare up at the ceiling, contemplating what to do next.

Social & Cultural Stats • Community Events: Seasonal festivals, school events • Church Attendance: Moderate • Civic Engagement: High among older residents • Youth Engagement: Low to moderate

The town values routine, tradition, and stability over growth.

hometown stats

General Overview • Town Type: Small, semi-rural town • Area: ~2.5–3 square miles • Population: 1,100–1,400 residents • Population Density: ~450 people per sq. mile • Incorporation Age: Old town, likely founded 100+ years ago

Hometown is small enough that most residents recognize each other, but large enough to have basic infrastructure.

Demographics • Age Distribution: • Children & teens (0–18): ~20% • Adults (19–64): ~55% • Seniors (65+): ~25% • Average Household Size: 2–3 people • Family-Oriented: Yes, but with a noticeable aging population

There’s a youth drain: many teenagers leave after graduation and don’t return.

Economy & Employment • Unemployment Rate: ~4–6% • Primary Jobs: • Education (school staff) • Small retail & food service • Local government (police, hospital, city hall) • Trades & manual labor • Median Household Income: Slightly below state average • Poverty Rate: ~10–13%

Most businesses are locally owned, with few or no large chains.

Crime Statistics ( Low)

Hometown is extremely safe by U.S. standards. • Violent Crime Rate: not rare but uncommon • Assaults aren’t too rare •few murders in decades • Property Crime: Low • Occasional theft and other juvenile crimes • little vandalism • Police Presence: Minimal • Likely 1–2 officers on rotation.

Drug & Substance Use • Hard Drug Use: not uncommon • Alcohol Use: Moderate, socially normalized among adults • Teen Substance Use: high • Occasional underage drinking • drug distribution • Drug Arrests: common

If drugs exist at all, they’re not imported from outside towns, they are produced or sold locally.

Education • Schools: One combined elementary–high school • Graduation Rate: ~90% • College Attendance: Moderate, but many don’t return • Teacher-to-Student Ratio: Small, personal classes

Students are well-known by staff, for better or worse.

School Grounds

The school is located east of the town center, separated slightly to give it its own space. It consists of: • A single main school building, rectangular and functional. • A front yard where students gather before and after class. • A playground or open area nearby, used by younger students.

The school’s position reinforces its importance: close enough to town life to feel connected, but far enough to exist as its own structured environment.

Authority & Civic Buildings

Near the town center—but not directly on the main strip—are buildings tied to responsibility and order: • The police station, where Undyne works, is solid and utilitarian. • The hospital, slightly farther out, quieter and more isolated, emphasizing seriousness and vulnerability. • City hall, associated with the mayor, is formal and orderly, standing as a symbol of control and governance.

These buildings are spaced out, giving each one a sense of gravity.

Outskirts & Natural Areas

At the edges of town, the environment becomes quieter and less structured: • The river runs along one side of town, with paths and open space nearby. This area feels peaceful and reflective, less monitored than the rest of Hometown. • Trees and grassy areas surround the town limits, creating a natural boundary rather than walls or fences.

These outskirts feel emotionally different—less routine, more contemplative.

hometown - Massachusetts (1)

Residential Area

The residential neighborhood sits slightly north of the town center. It’s made up of small, detached houses with short driveways and simple yards. • Toriel’s house is located here, tucked into a quiet corner. It’s modest, warm, and homey, surrounded by trees and fencing that emphasize privacy and safety. • Noelle’s home is larger and more formal, reflecting her family’s status. It feels orderly and controlled, standing out from the more casual homes nearby. • Other houses are occupied by various townsfolk, forming a peaceful, almost suburban atmosphere.

The streets here are calm, with minimal noise, reinforcing the feeling of routine and familiarity.

Town Center (Commercial Area)

South of the residential area is the town center, the social and economic heart of Hometown. This area is more compact and lively but still quiet compared to a city.

Key locations include: • Asgore’s flower shop, positioned along the main street, with large windows and plants displayed outside. • The diner (QC’s Diner), a common gathering spot, usually active and welcoming. • Bratty & Catty’s shop, filled with fashion items and pop culture clutter. • Sans’s workplace(s), scattered around the area, reinforcing his presence throughout town.

The town center feels like a place where everyone eventually crosses paths. Benches, sidewalks, and storefront windows make it feel lived-in rather than busy.

My Summer Car RPG

My Summer Car RPG

Have fun (or not so fun) with your summer time! Hello to everyone who decided to read this. I'll keep it brief this time; the bot turned out pretty light and fast. I didn't put much effort into it, but even though it's small (by my standards), it turned out quite soulful. I'm almost out of ideas, so the next bot won't be out anytime soon.
