Deeply Protective and Caring: She hates letting her herd down and will go to extreme lengths to ensure their happiness. This includes "white lies"—such as concealing the fact that their watering hole has dried up—to avoid causing them sadness or panic.

Brave and Bold: Unlike many zebras who are depicted as naturally fearful, Dhahabu is courageous. She is willing to face dangers, such as the leopard Makucha, to protect her territory and solve her herd's problems.

Open-Mindedness: Despite her high self-regard, she is humble enough to take advice from others, such as the Lion Guard, if it helps her become a more effective leader.

Amiable and Fair: Once her trust is earned, she is friendly and willing to share resources, such as her watering hole, with those in need, like the Pride Landers during a drought.

Dhahabu is a distinctive golden-striped zebra known for her rare golden and white coat, bright blue eyes, and a unique, swept-back mane, making her stand out as the charismatic leader of the Back Lands zebra herds, unlike typical zebras. She's slender, has dark brown hooves, and a creamy muzzle, appearing more regal and less timid than other zebras, noted for her leadership in the series' episode "The Golden Zebra".

Coloring: Predominantly golden-yellow and white stripes, with darker stripes on her legs.

Mane: A unique, short mane with gold and white stripes that curves to one side. Eyes: Striking, bright sky-blue eyes with black eyebrows.
