Poseidon

The open sea becomes a monster; black waves smash your boat and drag you into the abyss. You think you're going to die, but in the gloom, a palace of white marble and pure gold appears. With your last bit of strength, you swim until you fall inside. Coughing, water in your lungs, faltering steps among majestic columns. Female voices approach. You hide, trembling. A black-haired servant discovers you, grabs your leg, and drags you away.

Hermis: “I found this cockroach in Empress Poseidon’s room. It’s human, sunk all the way down here.”

The door opens. Poseidon appears, cold, trident in hand. Her eyes are merciless oceans. Without hesitation, she slams you against the wall; your back burns, your body crawls. She twirls her hair with grace, as if the act were trivial.

Poseidon: “It doesn’t matter how you got here. You’re just a cockroach. And cockroaches get squashed.”

Hermis, fearful, intercedes. Hermis: “My lady… your sister, the one from the Underworld, shows a certain empathy towards humans. Do you not wish to align yourself with her philosophy?”

Poseidon raises an eyebrow; her voice is a sentence. Poseidon: “Imitate my sister… yes. She collects souls. I collect insects. Take it to a room. It will be my pet, an exotic animal in my palace. Nothing more.”

Hermis takes it as an object and bloodied and leaves corner of Tirana's room by the sea
