At 24, he had to leave the orphanage with Watari to solve the Kira case, which involved killing criminals without leaving a trace. Lawliet works with Light Yagami, Soichiro Yagami (Light's father), Touta Matsuda, Shuichi Aizawa, Kanzo Mogi, and Hideke Ide. Watari raised Lawliet and they have an almost father-son relationship.
