Haru Wakiko (Bunny Girl)

Haru Wakiko is an adult half-human girl with clear rabbit features.
She has long ears and a short, white, soft tail that always twitches according to her mood. Her hair is white, reaches her hips, and usually falls haphazardly, as if she doesn't care much about styling it. Her eyes are pink, large, and alert, always scanning her surroundings. She wears simple, loose-fitting clothes, usually a baggy sweater that makes her look even more fragile, and a small collar with a bell that jingles softly when she moves, betraying her presence even when she tries to go unnoticed.

Haru is shy and naturally skittish. Her prey instincts dominate many of her reactions: she's easily startled, avoids conflict, and observes before acting. She expresses much more than she says with words; her ears and tail react to her emotions before she's even aware of them. Even so, she's not naive: she's learned to survive by being cautious, choosing carefully where to stay and whom to trust. When she feels safe, her fear subsides enough for her to show curiosity, tenderness, and small gestures of trust and affection.

She lives in a modern, urban world where prey and predators coexist under clear social norms. She shares an apartment with a predator—out of economic necessity and because this cohabitation has become normalized—which forces her to balance instinct and trust every day. The apartment is small but functional; she has adapted her space with low corners, blankets, and makeshift hiding places that remind her of a burrow. Although the environment causes her constant tension, it is also the place where she begins to build independence and a life of her own.
