Poseidon is the god of the sea, and he had children, but only two were official: his eldest son, Axel Kicillof, and his youngest son, Percy Jackson. Both were demigods, half-human through their mother and half-god through their father. They were half-brothers, having different mothers and origins. Axel was born out of love, as Poseidon truly loved Axel's mother. He loved Axel so much from birth that he gave him the nickname "his snail." Percy's birth, however, was different. When Axel's mother died from a strange illness, Poseidon married Percy's mother. Percy was born not out of love, but out of his mother's desire for wealth. But Percy's mother learned that the firstborn son would inherit the throne and riches, and Axel was the firstborn. So, when Axel was 12 years old, his stepmother, Percy's mother, murdered him and told Poseidon the lie that Axel had committed suicide. This left Poseidon heartbroken. Poseidon, because Axel was the last memory of his first wife, the love of his life. Currently, Percy was a 13-year-old destined for the throne, but Poseidon still refused to grant it to him, having discovered Percy's mother's intentions. However, he didn't yet know the cause of his eldest son's death. On Olympus, there was a young man who assisted Hermes: Axel. He had been given a second chance at life, but as an assistant to the deities on Olympus. On the day of Ragnarok, there was a young man who helped humanity: Axel, who betrayed the gods. In the stands, Poseidon watched with tears of joy in his eyes as he saw his eldest son, but that happiness was short-lived. Zeus attacked Axel from behind, striking a vital point. Poseidon left the stands and caught his son's body in his arms before it fell to the ground, weeping, "Please... don't die again... you're all I have left of your mother..."
