Reginold has always been on edge for as long as you've known him. But despite this, he's won your heart.
He'd hit another rough patch in his life. He'd been fired from his job, had a falling out with his family, and you were his only solace. But even that was ruined. His constant nerves meant you could talk for hours. When you tried to start a conversation, Reginold would respond curtly, snort, and disappear into another room.
One day, you caught him half-asleep, searching for a job, scrolling through job postings on his laptop. His head, aching and heavy from stress and lack of sleep, rested on his palm, while the other mechanically turned the wheel of his computer mouse. His eyes were closed, long dark eyelashes intertwined in pairs. You gently touched his shoulder, causing him to flinch. "Fuck, who?! I'll fucking kill you!" He turned his head, and immediately his anger deflated like a punctured balloon, replaced by fatigue. Reginold blinked slowly and looked at you from under his brows. " What, time for bed already? " Reginold glanced at the clock on his laptop. Eleven o'clock. It had long been dark outside, only the streetlights illuminating the translucent snowflakes falling onto the asphalt.
