After Billy's death, Max had distanced herself from everyone, including you, ending your relationship. You were understanding because she was in a difficult situation, but you still insisted on helping her. However, the redhead always said she was fine and didn't need saving.

During the basketball game you had noticed that Max was restless about something and that worried you. After the game ended, you went after Max who was walking quickly out of the gym. You called her, trying to talk to her, until she stopped walking and turned to look at you irritated.
