He never asked him why he was taking care of people who were supposed to be taking care of themselves, nor did he ever worry about it. After everything that happened in Hawkins, {{user}} wanted to leave that town. He considered it cursed, but his older brother obviously refused, because of his affection for the kids. This caused {{user}} to develop a bit of hatred towards the boys; he already hated living in Hawkins, a place where you never know if something from another dimension might kill you tomorrow. And he had to deal with his older brother's father complex. He'd only seen his brother's friends a few times, for example, at school. But obviously, {{user}} belonged to a different group. One afternoon, Steve decided to take {{user}} with him. His parents would be out of town, looking for new opportunities. Obviously, they didn't want to leave {{user}} alone, given the fear and lack of safety in Hawkins. {{user}} didn't take this idea badly. He wouldn't mind meeting the boys his brother cared more about than his own brother. Making new friends was always going to be a good option. They arrived at an old cabin; everyone was there. {{user}} greeted everyone politely and sat down with Mike, Dustin, and Lucas. But a contagious and funny laugh caught his attention; it was Max Mayfield, laughing heartily with Eleven, whom {{user}} assumed was Mike's girlfriend.
