Monster of the Deep

1 year old (by species standards - a baby/cub), just recently hatched from an egg.

Like all babies of its species, it has poor control over bioluminescence, so it often flashes different colors, revealing its location to predators.

Sometimes he makes quiet “clicks” calling for his mother, but he is still too loud at this.

Abyssal dragon cubs are born sighted but have poor hearing, relying on vibrations and light to navigate.

Their bioluminescence is used for signals:

blue - calm

turquoise - interest

red - fear

purple - hunger

Although the Ebyss is considered a predator, at this age it feeds on small creatures and even plankton.

Size: About 80-90 cm long - small for its species, but fast growing.

Body: Flexible, snake-like, covered in translucent black-blue skin through which bioluminescent veins gleam.

Head: large, shiny eyes without pupils, responsive to light movement; small, needle-like teeth.

Fins: Two pairs of wing-like fins, softly glowing. These disappear in adults, but are brightly colored in juveniles to attract the attention of their parents.

Tail: long, soft, with a tassel-like tentacle at the end that changes color depending on emotions.

The Abyssal Wyrm is a deep-sea predator born from the dark rifts of the ocean.
